  • the ultimate commercial plane ! just like a fighter jet !

  • Dammit, I really wanted to fly on the Concorde, which in my opinion is the most beautiful plane in the world. I wish they never retired this plane, what were those people thinking.

  • i know why they dont use concordes anymore, its because the engine is REALLY loud. (thats because it has a big engine an that's what makes it loud) And i've heard the engine trust me you wouldn't like to hear it. And i have also heard that someone actually got deafth from hearing it.

  • @ThePheonixvideos the sound is absolutely beautiful, your ears are all wrong...

  • Only jealous people vote this down.

  • I have two fligths with BA Concorde and what impressed me most was the sound during takeoff. It was almost like standing in the shower with water running over the ears. I still hear the deep bass sound today as I shower.

  • @salag13 no

  • It was the only passenger plane with fighter jet engines... lol! I remember the sound. It was terrible.

  • old girl you well always hold a place in peoples heart because where and still are Beautilful them fat old jumbos never come close

  • i did see something the other day on Key Publishing that a group is trying to get a concorde flying again in time for 2012 for the Olympics and the queens jubilee and for airshows

  • 9 people are Tupolev fans.

  • Powwwweeeerrrrrrr!!!!!

  • Look how much fuel came pouring out those engines wow :O

  • Those 8 fools, don't agree because there ain't a "superior" button

  • 7 sick blind and stupid people have clearly watched this video. Long live Concorde she will forever be the reason I live to fly

  • what an masterpiece of aviation, its a pity they were discontinued...

  • Hope we see another supersonic aircraft in our time, what a waste this is otherwise

  • That was one quick rotation.

  • Où sont donc passés 25% de la surface de la vidéo ? J'imagine qu'elle a dû être tournée en 16/12 et non en 16/9.

  • the concord would fly over my house witch is close to J.F.K AIRPORT everyday at 2;15 it would feel like a small earthquake. it was nuts

  • Was I supposed to get excited?

  • Coolest passenger plane ever.

  • i wanna go on the concorde and experience the sonic boom!!!!

  • illegal u-turn at 1:35 give the pilot a ticket

  • fue una de las victimas del 911

  • i was lucky to go on concorde, a day i will never forger, what a wonderfull aircraft. it would still be flying today if BA would have agreed to sell it to Vigin airlines. BA being bloody minded would not sell.

  • It was the American assholes that caused Concorde to retire. They built this shitty airplane (DC-10) that drops sharp pieces of metal onto the runway.they said "it was to environmentally harmful, and they have 6 of the top ten most polluted cities on the planet. And they think Concorde is to dangerous to fly over their cities. Thanks a lot George Bush.

  • @1imthwalrus American here. It was actually the fault of some maintenance fellow who attached a part incorrectly that caused it to fall off. While I hate the DC-10 as much as anybody, to intimate that the fault lies with Americans and DC-10's in general as opposed to the real cause (a single asshole who happened to be American, stupid, and repairing a DC-10) is doing your fellow Americans a disservice. Your reasoning sucks all the way around, actually - including your pollution claims. Fuck off

  • Damn that took like 12 seconds to lift off

  • I feel privileged to drive past the Concorde everyday. One still remains at Heathrow Airport, right next to the road (Envoy Avenue - Off Eastern Perimeter Road). It's amazing to see it, yet also sad that this beautiful (but very loud) bird flies no more :(

  • LONG LIVE THE CONCORDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5 people don't like to travel at mach speed+

  • TOTALLY AWESOME, no other words can describe this brilliant aircraft..

  • the most beautiful jet to ever fly, even if they used to make my windows rattle!

  • the most beautiful jet to ever fly

  • Sounds like Thunderbird 2

  • That plane is sexy! What a climb out!!

  • Why can somebody vote this beautifull plane down :-(

  • @marcvie9 Cos the 6 people are insane!

  • because the concordes take off made them deaf

  • @marcvie9 youtube SHOULDN'T have a dislike button! it should have just stayed with the stars

  • 911 killed this bird. Half it's customers died in the world trade centre and because the American airlines plane that dropped fod on paris Charles degall runway which caused the crash. Word has it Americans were envious of her so had it grounded by not allowing it to land in us airports. History lesson for the educationally sub normal on here:-)

  • I wanna fly on this, then I can die happy!

  • Look at the climb rate on that jet - had the most effecient turbojets of it's time, the Olympus 593's. And it had an extremely high jet velocity.

  • I did get lucky enough to see the Concorde land at JFK one time! That was awe inspiring! Beautiful airplane!!

  • wicked

  • I miss seeing the concorde fly''

  • What a shame these are not alive anymore.Such a beautiful bird!

  • thats one ugly looking plane...

  • @TheOneAndOnlyKinable I think it's cool looking.

  • Good vid...... 10/10..... Isn't the taxying for takeoff all part of take off :-) Such graceful lines........... Used to suffer this bird landing at Heathrow, my 3rd fl flat was directly on the approach. Twice in the evenings. Lovely and distinct sound though, you could tell it was Concorde a coming. I'm a bit deaf now..... :-)

  • I just Love the People that practise there English on this, Site....

  • @supersonicbird11 Don't you mean "practice their" instead of "practise there."

  • Look at those four massive thrusters. What awesome site!

  • this airplanes makes me scarry.!

  • nice vid ^

  • pleace put concorde back on service

  • WAHEY!!!! thats Liverpool innit... on a Grand National day if im not mistaken, My god i miss those heady days, thats when the Grand National was the bees knees and it really put Aintree and the Pool on the map, nowadays all you get is anti horse racing demos and a tv helicopter flyin over......Bwwaaa!!!!

  • WOW no wonder y they all stop the planes now

  • It is too bad they are still grounded since the crash really had nothing to do with the fact that it was a Concorde. Any jet could have ingested that titanium strip or had it punch into a fuel tank.

  • @EMT308 They did not stop the concorde program because of the crash. The main reason was the fact that it was way to expensive.

  • They are not grounded anymore. They went back into service after that accident. They weren't profitable anymore and so they went out of service..

  • @EMT308 It just wasnt making money anymore.

  • Yes, but any other jet would probably have been able to reach the nearest airport and make an emergency landing. When boeing designed the wing of the 707 (first really comercially successful jet) it was decided to put the engines in pods suspended below the wing even though putting the engines inside the wing (ie the comet) gives less drag. The reasoning was that catastrophic failure of the engine is much less likely to compromise wing structure if the engines are in pods.

  • (cont)

When the fuel tank was punctured on the AF flight, the escaping fuel ignited in the exhaust stream from the engines which set the wing on fire. The aircraft eventually went into an unrecoverable bank because of a loss of lift from the burning wing. Dont get me wrong, Im a major fan of concorde, but the design does have to take some blame for the crash. And in any case, they are not grounded because of the crash. They were returned to service with modifications.

  • @EMT308 yeah but its not really economical to put it in service :)

    though it would be awesome

  • @EMT308 They wern't grounded because of the crash, just too expensive to run.

  • @EMT308 They're not "grounded" - they're done flying forever. All of BA’s Concorde fleet have been grounded, their airworthiness certificates withdrawn, and drained of hydraulic fluid. Estimates in 2004 reveal it would cost £10–15 million to make each plane airworthy again. British Airways maintain ownership, and have stated that they will not fly again as Airbus ended support of the aircraft in 2003.

  • @EMT308 ur totally right , i agre 100 percent with you =)

  • i like to see concode flying again but its noisy and bad air pollutant.

  • Well, no worse a polluant than any other jet. And the noise is awsome! I'll admit that I don't have to live right under a runway, but the thing sounds more like a fighter taking off than an airliner.

  • Concorde is a technological relic from the sixties, as was the Apollo programm. Progress was made too fast and thus resulted in a flawed product. Concorde was single large design flaw, it was too loud, too inefficient, too much of everything that other planes of the time were not. It is the exact same thing as with the lunar landers which were also too advanced for their time, resulting not only in various accidents but also in any Apollo mission having at least one near fatal occasion.

  • Plane take offs are one of those things in life that really give me goosebumps. To me, it's like one of human civilisation's greatest achievements, to be able to fly the skies.

  • Concorde was canned due to cost, the cost of safety upgrades following the dozens of incidents over its service (ultimately the big crash in 2000). Eventually the plane could not turn a profit (something which was difficult to achieve anyway).

  • no...not really.... it crashed=(

  • air france concorde - charter special - all killed

  • No.. It had a fatal accedent. Thats why

  • action starts @ 2:11

  • for there age they still were a beautiful looking plane

  • awesome!

  • It looks happy :D

  • why you guys fighting here for no reason only cuz a cool plane is taking off do you hate concorde xD

  • bravo les gars!

  • Rolls Royce Olympus, fantastic powerplant in my humble view.

  • wow it's soooo fast - great video I just wish that the angle was better

  • Me look like a moron? You and your 'dad' - you are the moron.

If you were not a stupid hypocrite in the first place, none of this would have happened.

As for your last sentence, you took the words right out of my mouth.

  • This is truly sad and pathetic - there are numerous reasons to say that you are talking bull. Spare it, please.

  • And the bullishit prevails.

  • Well you were. You said 'don't talk bullshit' to ronnie and then you did!

    Moron material, that is.

  • Don't you think it's the same for me?

I think with some common ground, we can stop this now.

  • I stopped caring ages ago. It's just I thought it would be nice to how much of an arse you are.

    You obviously care!

  • Now I KNOW you know you're wrong.

  • No it's not a case of that. If it were a video of a film trailer and you spewed out some silly crap about it, someone's gonna correct you.

  • I'm not talking about the video.

  • Not my fault that you go off saying crap.

  • actualy the concorde cannot fly 'over' any country. it breaks the sound barrier therefor it must fly over the ocean

  • No-one is stupid enough to fall for that.

Go back to your hole and stay there.

  • and why the economy has plunge ?

  • it was the best plane in the world ! ! ! !

  • thank's the usa for why that bird dont fly again !

  • You are uneducated as shit if you think the U.S. is the reason Concorde no longer flies. Do some fucking research before you open your mouth.

  • the first 2 min where boring

  • It will always be in our hearts and memories. I went to the outskirts of Heathrow and Concorde went over my head coming to land. I never forget the noise and view! Does any one think a concorde type will be built again?

  • It kinda looks like a bird to me.

  • This was filmed at

    Liverpool john Lennon Airport.

  • That was a pretty steep take-off.

  • tetoia odhgousa k kavlwnaaaa!!!!

  • Don't forget period.

  • Don't forget period.

  • canadair is it??

  • British Airways

  • which airport is this?

  • that musta been loud!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes! xD
