I have this exact flat iron and it sucks so bad. I have thick hair and it makes my hair kind of straight for like 3 seconds. -.- I'm not sure if it works better on thin hair ,but I would not reccomend wasting money on this, especially if you have thick hair!

If you want a professional straightener and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair. You can buy from My Hair Styling Tools or Hair Products Pro. I have the pink Corioliss I like it a lot but mine looks like a darker pink, I wish mine was baby pink. I got my for christmas from my boyfriend I think it was about 120 at the mall.

@janiekendle I have the corioliss and find it difficult to curl my hair with it, like I have with GHDs and babyliss flat irons. Is it easier to curl with the FHI iron?

i have a lot of experience with the fhi iron as it is all i used for the last year..it is "easy" to curl as the design is curling friendly, does not get to hot outside, it is rounded...but in my experience, the curls turn out frizy and very yucky looking, so I would not recommend this flat iron for curling purposes, but it works better for "kinking" the hair and straightening but leaves "fullness" wont make it poker straight but I only recommend the one with heat control.

ONe thing I will definitely say is if you are looking for a flat iron with NO hair damage, the fhi is the best choice out of any professional iron I have ever tried. I think it is the ptfc heating system...I would use it every single day on fine hair and got no damage and did the SECOND I switched to a diff. brand. I have tried hai, babyliss, sedu, solia and chi

I haven't tried CHI and I don't know how it works but I love my Corioliss :) I have it for more than 5 years now! Its a keeper. The FHI is great but gets very hot.

mine does, but that's only because i have the 450-degree nonadjustable setting one. but it doesn't damage the hair, i promise. i use mine every single day and my hair is as healthy as it would be if i became a regular at a beauty salon.

I have this straightener too, but runway series is better. It is 450$ but it totally changes the whole texture of your hair! And the technique series is GREAT at first, but after a few months it loses its heat and takes a while to get hot enough. It DOES make your hair WAAAY shinier than other straighteners :)

and dude this girl does exactly what i do with my hair, and uses the same straightener and heat spray stuff. haha :)

I've had the FHI for 1 year, it works great still....I used to go to the hair salon a lot(because I have curly hair and it wasn't easy for me to blow dry straight) but with this flat iron I don't even blow dry it, I just let it air dry and then use the iron. People have told me my hair looks a lot healthier than before...it doesn't fry the hair because it's not a metal plate it's made of stone (thurmaline).

oh no, I never had chi flat iron. FHI can be very very hot but it did not fry my hair. Make sure to use a heat protectant spray :)

Hi! :) Wash it every other day. I use Pantene Pro V Restoratives. I also use heat tamer every time I use heat tools on my hair :) Trim every 6 months :D
