everyone plays that one low note in the begining one time bu in our choir class the teacher plays that low note twice.

I think it might be a tied note. Which means it appears twice on the sheet, but you only play it once but hold it for the duration of the two written notes.

(I don't have the music, so i'm just assuming its a tie). :D
