....It works for most of the characters. Most have a HP attack that can reflect flare back to the Emperor such as braver, blasting zone, shield of light..so on.

@mizunosuke doesn't Clouds one go through the flare, and not reflect it - I play as Cloud all the time and i always cut through the Flare (tried this about 30mins ago)

Cloud's Braver goes through and also reflect back the Flare.

Terra is a translated name...of the original version. Real name is Tina with short i accent. Why would there be 3 characters with the name Terra? The original name is the actual and the real name.

Got to PP Catalogue at the main menu and find CPU lv. + 100 and buy it. If it's not there, you gotta buy from + 10.

It's probably

1.) you don't have enough PP or

2.) one of the character must be above Lv. 70 to unlock it.

i discovered this too! It works very well, all hp phisical attacks can reflect that ball.

I've seen the Emperor get hit w/ his own Flare. Did I say get hit? I mean DIE from his own Flare! He dashed right into it and died!  I was like what?! Then I realized what happened. Couldn't help but say that he failed. An epic fail.

umm..I don't know the situation for the game's translation...if it's not available in middle east, maybe try getting english version....

I already got everybody to max level 4 months ago. I don't play this game anymore. Thank you though! I'm playing Dragon Quest IX now. It's on DS but still a great game!!

When I used that retaliation move with COD, it didn't work.

Note that some of these attacks have to hit with a right timing to work.
