graphics dont mean shit as long as its fun and plays well. i did notice that the animations were not great but the trailer was moving a bit quick. great animations can make a mediocre game look great. like half life 2. still looks great to this day due in part to the animations.

The graphics are easily on par with L4D2, but the style is what really drives it. It definitely has cool style. Unfortunately the game is comprised of frustrating, small, narrow dark areas with all sorts of pointy obstacles sticking out and no indications of direction. The character dialog is laughable and the graphics, while pretty, drag older graphics hardware down; I can't honestly recommend this to anyone. It looks nice but plays like shit. Then again, I guess that's what gamers seem to want

I'm sorry but this mod is painful to play at best: levels look all the same, most of them are confusing, like a maze, very restrictive too, and you get stuck very often. Futhermore big black bars on top & bottom of the screen (despite widescreen), annoying dialogue system, cheap scares, clunky controls, ridiculous arrangement of detours, missing savegame option forces to restart the whole level, and finally an utter unbearable performance throughout the whole game.

Been playing this for a few days now, Its a great mod, but... collision bugs, (getting stuck) no save points no checkpoints unless u past the level in one blow, having to restart a whole map an talking to everyone would annoy anyone when u have to do it over an over again It has no co-op! Levels are confusing an complicated an hard to navigate through like a rat in a maze... but its very dense so its acceptable no speech / sound dialog, would be nice to have an head shot take about 5 - 10 shots!

I just completed playing this game and all i can say is WOW!!! This mod is very well put together and by 2 guys! It took me a total of 11.4 hours of on and off gameplay to complete this mod (hell I should call it a game) and it blew me away. This game is damn eerie and scary! I jumped about 4 times while playing Out of Hell. If you guys want are looking for a creepy, foreboding, dark zombie gameplay, download this mod! 10/10! -CGP

Just hope EPIC wont let us down this time and not try to make a hybrid of UT with Gears of War again. UT3 proved a fiasco for that. UT is UT only, and it has to give origins to other projects, not have other basis applied to it.

These games/mods could be so much more immersive if they used newer engines with better lighting models, and more headroom for overall detail...

The UE3 is more advanced, better optimized, and just plain has more modding capabilities than past versions of the engine..

There's no reason why they should have made Killing Floor or this mod on this old engine..

@GEARSCOMBATANT1 that's the thing, when they were in development, ut3 hadn't come out yet. I played the demo of this game a LOOOOONG time ago, and it was kinda... Okay... Wasn't all that great. But then again, I saw a killing floor video when it was still in early stages, and that came a long way. If they tried to make this and killing floor with the ut3 engine, then they'd have to completely remake the game.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with using an older engine. The sole guy working on this thing busted his ass on it for over 7 years.

The only problem with this game (one that the creator is working to solve), is that the engine isn't fully capable of handling all of the details he put into the level environments. That one flaw aside, and considering he worked on it solo (except for the music), I think it's a game capable of competing with ANY game made with UE3.
