  • I WON A FRISBEE THAT LOOK LIKE A 45 RECORD FROM KRALA 1110 AM RADIO IN LOS ANGELES CA BACK IN 1981 .. NAME THAT SINGER THEN NAME THAT SONG .. I HIT THEM BOTH ... I WON.. ORALE ..

  • Lovely school days and youngest age

  • What a rare find, I love this song, a lot of my memories are being stirred right now.

A more beautiful voice will be hard to find.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!

  • When did music lose its Love and romance? Now it's brag & threaten & talking about BS.

  • @verbaud When people lost the ability to be romanatic and love.

The music reflects the people who listen to it.

  • this great tommy edwards song sold three and a half million copies worldwide, great words great singer, nuff said.......

  • Lol, I love the people that think this is serious.... come on now...check downloadmusic.im for complete album

  • BEST ALL ROUND RECORD EVER

  • I'd love to know the story behind why on earth, this song was re-done, given that it was 7+ years earlier that Tommy 1st did it, to only modest success. Obviously, someone --be it at the record company, or a DJ, made a great decision to make a " DO-OVER" VERSION, uptempo it, add a chorus, & we have an all-time classic. One more example of how arrangement is sooo important. Wolfsky9

  • Spring of '58, an all-time 50's classic, froma a man who deserved a better fate than he had. Tommy, GBY, & RIP, you are well remembered. Wolfsky9

  • This is the only pop single ever co-authored by a Vice-President of the United States. Charles Dawes, VP to Calvin Coolidge, composed the music in 1911 calling it 'Melody in A Major', lyrics were written for the music in 1951 by Charles Sigman and the title became 'It's All In The Game'. It was #1 in the U.S. for six weeks in September/ October 1958 and #1 in November 1958 in Great Britain.

    It's one of my favorites.

  • She says "sigh"!!

  • The flip side of this record is also great. "Please Love Me Forever." It may be the greatest two sided love songs record ever. Plus Tommy had a voice.

  • maravilloso recuerdo que me transporta a mi niñez. FABULOSO..

  • Well done:}

  • Simply majestic!

  • Then he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips and your heart will fly away.....Nice!

  • this song brings back memories of my USAF time at Travis AFB in the mid 60s. Thanks for the song. Why don't they have songs like this today?

  • @frontspar I used to hang out at Travis in the late 70's to early 80's. My family was stationed on Hamilton AFB in the mid and late 60's.

  • @airjor1 Hi airjor1, I was in 5th BW, Kiwai O Kalewa", from 64 to 66 when I went PCS to Nam. I remember trips to Russian River and weekends spent in the City. There was a bar on Pine St in SF called Glass Slippers. The bartender, owner, was a former vaudeville performer and he would break into songs like Swanee, How I Love you. He really sounded like Al Jolson and the people sitting at the bar would shine a flash light on him to simulate the stage light. "Those were the days my friend".

  • How I adore this style of Rock 'n' Roll ballad with its crisp vocal harmonies and tinkling piano. This music inspires the hope that fuels the action that makes dreams become reality.

  • Esta música é simplesmente maravilhosa marcou a minha vida

  • I loove his version of this song. Treasured and cherished.

  • only felt this way with my first love ........even that dident last

  • I remember this song in the 1999 film OCTOBER SKY. This is a very good song. I know Louis Armstrong did this song as well but Tommy's was better.

  • Always loved this one.....

  • My grand aunt had this bad ass 1971 sunburnt cadillac. Brand spankin new. I used 2 always ride shot gun with her driving. I always heard this song on the radio over and over. Never understood the words just liked the melody. After my 1st heartbreak, when I became a man, I heard this song again about 20 years later. I listened to it & totally understood the meaning. People, if your fortunate to have a TRUE LOVE in your life, PLEASE don't let it go. U might never find it again! REAL TALK FOLKS!

  • Makes me love my love even more..

  • I love this song, and it reminds me of New Jersey, art school and good times. I like it best by Tommy Edwards/

  • Great song. Your Hearts Will Fly Away. Magic. Thanks for Posting.

  • love it bt i still think freddy fender's is better

  • Man, a true tear jerker and heart breaker.....brings back those wonderful days of warm summer and pretty girls at the soda shop...back then was America at her best of times, not to be known ever again...

  • One of my favorites from the mid-50's. I was a young U.S. Navy sailor then.

  • Britney Spears is going to cover this! So excited

  • OH BROTHER SHE'LL RUIN A CLASSIC

  • I have the original 45. What does anyone think its worth? One of the top slow oldies of that era....that NEVER gets old. .

  • 1950's a slower lifestyle which is conveyed by this song, I know every word even after 50+ years.

  • 3! chinano natinallity.

  • What most people don't know, is that this Classic version by Tommy, was a Re-Do, from an earlier recordng he made. 4 years earlier, Tommy recorded this song, but it went nowhere. Re-done, with chorus, & a better, slightly faster beat, it soared to #1, & is now, an all-time 50's classic. I never, ever tire ofhearing it. Wolfsky9

  • actually, his first recording of this song was in 1951 (MGM11035). You are right, this is one of the best

  • Thank you for sharing that interesting piece of history.

  • This video was written by a future vice president of Calvin Coolidge. THIS IS one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. The other is Abraham, Martin and John by Dion

  • Actually it was written by Charles Dawes, Vice President.

  • the melody was...composed in 1911; "MELODY IN A MAJOR" put to words by C. Sigman in 1951

  • A true classic, beautifully sung.

  • The most beautiful song I have ever heard which comes from one of the most pleasing voices ever in the recording business.

Many, many, many fond memories with this song!!!

  • You are 100% Correct! This is as good as it gets.

  • Thanks for your thoughts. This song as sung from this absolutely golden voice has been a big part of my life since first hearing it. I stop in my tracks to listen to ("take it in") it wherever I happen to be at the time. Glad you like it as well.

    Dr. Don
