Word of God says Judau is the most powerful NewType. Also, I just finished reading some of the comments and Amuro would crush Kira in terms of skill. Remember, Amuro doesn't heavily rely on his NewType abilities.

Double Zeta has the raw power, but is slower than the other two. Zeta is the fastest, but doesn't have the best weapons for up close and personal. RX-78 is outdated, but is a monster at melee combat, and can take a beating.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd say the original is the superior of the three Gundam types here. The deciding factor? How much damage did each one get in their respective series and manage to keep fighting..factoring in the pilots, however, would make things more complicated.

The "Ultimate Coordinator" is a very misleading term. He was just born perfect from an artificial womb, nothing else. Personally in my opinion Athrun has shown more skill then him on several occasions, like Kira and Shinn dueling in Seed mode and being even. While Athrun easily dueling him without Seed while Shinn is in it. And then the moment Athrun went Seed mode to protect Lunamaria it was pretty much over.
@quenton444 actually, i didn't really like kira after he got the strike freedom, the time when he was in the strike, he was very smart at using things not made for the strike to defeat enemies. anyway, i think that those times kira and shin fought, kira wasn't going all out, if he had decided to go all out, the destiny would have been in pieces. and the seed mode doesn't give u some special power, it gives u the ability to advance to the next stage of human evolution(in theory, though).
@junsengjs Kira did show more skill in the Strike yes, but Seed mode being the next step in evolution? No...Not at all. It's where someones mind is in a pure, dedicated, and concentrated state to the current battle they're in. Newtype evolution however is arguably the next step in human evolution, but sadly there's no proof from this besides the insane piloting skills one achieves, even when being new to piloting.
oh, and Kira was shown struggling and being caught off guard almost by a few attacks from Shinn when they fought each other in their best mechs. Prior to Rey joining to help shoot Kira down, Shinn had some pretty good moves on Kira that almost downed him.
Why wouldn't Kira go "all out"? Orb is being attacked by an army, and after that, it was being targeted by a Giant beam cannon, and it's a war, Kira should take out Destiny so that he could take care of the army to protect Orb. There's no reason for Kira NOT to go all out. Heck, SEED mode is the physical presentation of surpassing one's limits, which solidifies that fact.

And ZZ was perfectly fine. A nice change of pace from Zeta's melodrama and Judau was an assertive character which contrasted great with Camille and Amuro's introverted nature.
I actually like that kind of balancing. Amuro's a balance of piloting skill and Newtype intuition, Camille relies more on the latter, and Judau relies more on the former.
apparently it must be an initiation and hazing among the UC pilots. The new kid has to prove himself against one or two veterans before the let him join XD
techenally kamille turned out "alright" by the end of ZZ anyways.

In the three part movie version of Zeta Gundam, they retconned it so that Camille doesnt end up as a vegetable. So, according to canon, hes A OKAY :D
