Farm sanctuary is an awesome organization who takes care of farm animals by allowing them to live their lives naturally. Most people view farm animals as a food source only. If you ever got to spend any time around chickens, pigs, etc...you will find they are very much like dogs and cats. They are happy to see you when you get home, will beg for treats and respond to hearing their name called. Yet people are appalled when cats and dogs are eaten in other countries. There is no difference.

I so agree. People eat the plants. It's a much more peaceful decision to grow and harvest plants vs. feeding these plants to the animals only to slaughter them. The meat and dairy industry is a huge polluter of the planet also.

How about all the grains/soy that are fed to the animals in the meat/dairy industry. These foods could be used to directly feed people instead. These animals were forced to exist. They had no choice. People do have a choice. We can make decisions.

but we do need meat every now and then to be healthy. we are able to digest meat just like plants. and grains/soy are only edible for humans by processing it. i doubt any human would/can eat raw rice/grain/soy beans without getting sick.

oh wait, its a "sancturary" so wild animals that acutally hunt these animals arent able to eat them but the people pretty much have their way with the animals. SELFISH/SICK BASTARDS!

and i grew up and live in the midwest of the U.S. which is nothing but farms and i see nothing but animals running around freely as shown in this video.

and there arent any intelligent animal rights activists since we are able to eat meat and do need meat every now and then to be truly healthy.

if you wanna eat meat, you have to purchase free range meat, i don't judge that. but maybe you ignore the fact that a vegetarian diet is more healthy, and that (if u want to) u have to eat meat once a week to be TRULY healthy, and thata the majority of cancers are coming from food (especially from meat).. USA is a very weird place, you fight a lot againts smoking, when people is killed more by your food than by cigarettes

yet people with bad habits do sometimes live a long life.

and the vegetarian diet is just as healthy as eating both meat and veggies/fruits. since we are made to eat both.

also, if meat is a cause for cancer, then why is it just now being known for that when humans have been eating meat for melliniums. i think that is just a scare tactic to eat more veggies/fruit lol which i have always have lol

lol, i eat meat every day, no leafs ether. not much green food. i do eat a lot a fruit but mostly meat. i am "truly " healthy. cancer comes from meat??? huh??? thats just bs, the protein helps your DNA replicate properly. not eating meat IS unhealthy, i have nothing against vegetarians, many of my friends are. yes you can be "healthy" but ho far can you go on green food??

@vels619 I eat no meat whatsoever and I feel heathier than I ever have, any "nutriants" that you may get from meat can be found in many other foods, no one NEEDS meat anyway hehe :)

Seems rather like rescuing bricks from a housemaker. They feel about the same level of emotion. But you know what i really see here? Turkeys, chickens and cows that require money to sustain, when the animals themselves and the money spent on them could be better used feeding starving PEOPLE. Places like this are sickening.

All those animals could care for themselves with no problem. There would not be any need of money. Just because humans hold them under brutal conditions and treat them so bad that they get physical damage, Farm Sanctuary is neccessary to make it possible for those poor animals.

Btw by eating animals, you support the starving of the people, since it takes about 12g of plants to produce 1g of meat.

No mor meat = enough to eat for everyone!

people starve BECAUSE of producing MEAT-because 80% of the worlds agriculturally usable land are being used to grow food for the animals who are being slaughtered for meat _ON this Land could be veggies and corn and grains and fruits for humans....if the western world reduced their meat eating just 10% there wouldnt be no HUNGER but we want MORE-we are ethical- we want the Animals to live with us freely because humans havent got the right to exploit them!!1just because they arent d same species.

The Farm Sanctuary is a nice place to show peaplo what their food looks like!! The turkeys are nice,but its even nicer on a large plate!! I'm getting sick of all these vegans!
