hey dude, when it's dying, I always do what you do. Make it go into rage mode, then do a full charge right when it's limping to you... It's kind of like a slow Tigrex charge. >:3

Tiggy usually starts limping at 400-500 health, and yes when it sleeps it regains health.

I'm just going to say thank you. This has really helped me become better accustomed to GSs in general. I still prefer LS, but thanks to this video i now have a slightly expanded weapon knowledge... i still dislike lances, and heavy bows though... everything else is fine. I can remember the first time i used a bow to kill a gravios while i was trying to become g-rank to get a smolder. Ah good times (grinded for several weeks...)

Don't stick with only long swords. They start to get worse. Get comfortable with bowguns, bows, hammers, and great swords.

You charge great swords by holding down triangle.

Get a good bowgun or bow, whichever you feel more comfortable using. The bow has to be water element and the bowgun has to be one that can use Water S. Basically you just snipe it and dodge when necessary.

No problem. The problem with using a LS or hammer is that at that point in the game, they aren't sharp enough to pierce the rock skin. If you must use melee, go with SnS. I hear that it can pierce the rock skin.

hey, i know this is kinda late, but using pierce lvl 1 or 2 is alot easier, By the time you run through all 60, it only takes a few lvl 3 normals to kill him. sandfall is a good choice or you can use tailstring.

A lot of people use ravager blade because it easy to obtain, and it has decent raw. You can use whatever sword you want, though.
