  • "...What was the deciding factor?" LOL!

  • i love that yah yah song

  • @ContagiousRandomness sung by Sue Lyon herself.

  • Is Mrs. Haze really that oblivious? He totally wanted to escape at every chance he got, then he sees her daughter half naked and suddenly its "WOW WHAT A NICE HOUSE." :P

  • lol this is like the linkon murder... how i imagined it

*jumps + breaks leg, and talks his way out of murder* XD

  • What's with new england town something awfuly happening

  • Sue Lyon....the most beautiful girl EVER....Sue, If your out there, I'm your BIGGEST fan.

  • women looked so mature and beautiful then. They looked real. Today's women can take a lesson from women from that time period.

  • cherry prize, lol.

  • @soccom8341576

    pies. cherry pies. LOL

  • this guy is perfect as Quilty

  • @TeamZissouMember ' This guy ' is the unique English chameleon genius of the 1950s thru 1980s Peter Sellers. LOL-ita.

  • Well I prefer the later version of this movie so I haven't quite done my reading. Either way, thanks for the information.

  • I think Lolita (Sue Lyon) reminds me of a porcelain doll. she's so pretty

  • LOL The hands thing was classic xD

  • i love Stanley Kubrick's movies but the 1997 version is way closer to the books story line. And who ever did the casting chose Lolita very poorly

  • I love movies from 60s, but this one, well I prefer '97 version. This Lolita (from '62) just doesn't look 12 years old, sorry

  • @naniro1616 Lolita is 14 in the 62 version due to heavy censorship in the film.

  • upload part 1.

  • huh its hurts lol !!! 01:50

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, but where is part 1?

  • Part 1???

  • Where is part 1?

  • What a great film.

  • what was the song that was playing when u first see Lolita?

  • It's called "Lolita Ya Ya". I think that's Nelson Riddle's film version, but it was also done by the The Ventures.

  • Actually I think that's a Bob Harris composition. I'd love to hear the Ventures version! Yowza!

  • did she say her cherry pie or cherry prize?--either way she was subliminally offering up her daughter.

"i think it was your cherry pies."

  • I love this movie!

The 1997 version is good, but I like this sort of filmmaking better, if that makes sense. :)

    Watch both versions though!

  • lolita is fucking stunning, jesus im 16 and i dont look like that now nevermind when i was 12

  • lol at the hand thing at 8:32 - 8:52 :D

  • Bohemian Quilty wants no part of hot death

  • i jus finished the book and really wanna watch the film but i cant find it anywhere and the part 1 here wont work!:(

  • I reccomend the 1997 seven version - it's been uploaded in full. Just search

'Lolita (1997) Part 1)'. This version is good, however I find the 1997 version much closer to the novel, and the actors for Quilty, Humbert and Lolita (who, let's face it, are the main characters) much more accturate.

  • i watched that version first but i dont know, i dont really like the girl that plays lolita in it but im told this version is brilliant and the better of the two.

  • see the lolita main titles thats is

    dont worry

  • Where is part 1 ?

  • She's about 63. Sue Lyons was born in 1946.

  • i think it was you'r cherie pies lol

  • Great acting in this movie. From everyone.

  • I love this movie,is perfect.

  • "....My cherry pies" subliminal genius

  • lmao

  • The girl in this version looks way older than 12, more like 16 or 17.

  • The girl was 14 because Stanley thought it would be a more acceptable age for commercial appeal at the time. She still looks much older though .

  • I think Stanley would have gone for 12-years-old anyway, but the MPAA demanded at least 14.

  • yea the girl in the 1997 version does look young.

  • You'd be surprised what 12-year-olds (and 14-year-olds can look like...

  • I agree! Sometimes if I don't wear make up, I look like a teen, then other days I look my age.

I see some middle school kids and they look like they wouldn't get carded at the club.

  • funny because she actually 14 but dominique swan was 18

  • swain was 15 while filming

  • I don't know, I found this scene (Quilty's death) in the 1997 version so much better. More climactic and you don't get the sense that he particulalry afraid in ths one.

  • It's supposed to be comedic rather than dramatic

  • i saw lyne's version first...

btw the novel is always out of stock here in the philippines

  • :hes a very stimulating type of man." nabokov definitely wrote this script. brilliant!

  • Oh wow, thanks for uploading this!

  • thank you

  • I love the woman who plays Charlotte, she does it so well!

    Thanks for uploading. :D

  • Shelley Winters

  • correction* they weren't nominated for Oscars but they were for golden globes.

  • Why the image looks slowy?

  • I like this movie. Their performances are really good. No wonder they were nominated for Oscars.
