  • There might be something to this. I was fanatically Catholic and I think I have a tendency towards narcissism, paranoia, schizoid perception, very withdrawn autistic traits, and hyper sensitivity. Now, being atheist, I find using Occam's Razor and just being scientific in my thinking helps to keep my tendencies from becoming a disorder.

  • I reckon loads of mad Christian have AS. It can predispose you to obsession, and also comfort in solid rules. And it doesn't "boost your intelligence" it just makes you intelligent in some ways but not others, and not all the time either. It is autism, after all.

  • Comment removed

  • This is very much true. I happen to have Asperger's and am an atheist, but that is because I only have it mildly. My Asperger's isn't as bad as most other people I know with it, but it is still very noticeable in everyday life.

  • I was told by doctors that I have Aspergers. The first thing i did was read everything on the subject I could get my hands on. I now know more about this than most doctors. This could be an indicator that I have it. However, the research does not have the same rigour you would find in real sciences such as maths or physics. This makes the diagnosis suspect. As for VFX I think he is probably just a dick head.

  • @Hyperplaterine maths and some physics have proofs, a term reserved for an equation or formula that when tested can be proven. Other sciences like biology, geology, astronomy, and especially psychology can only go so far as theory. a peer review tested set of predictors that fits all available data. If any thing is found that breaks the predictions of the theory it is reworked to try to figure if it can fit this new phenomenon without special pleading, if it can't its scraped. As for FVX dick

  • Having listened to your defintion I'm beginning to wonder if the diagnosis of my son having AS is a mistake

  • @DirectPointingZak one very telling trait is, that people with AS are very interested, almost obsessed with certain subjects and therefore learn everything there is to know about them, however they will not even entertian subjects that dont interest them and will continually try to steer a conversation toward their subject of interest

  • My son has AS they tell me, he is high-functioning and startlingly intelligent - and an atheist !

  • VenomfangX does have a disorder - it's called religious fundamentalism.

  • i would say he has more of a personality disorder, he seems completely comfortable with telling blatant lies in order to convince others, in general people with aspergers cant lie (of course there are exceptions) but its unlikely a person with aspergers would be as comfortable looking straight into the camera and lying

  • Asperger's is not a disorder. VenomfangX is too dumb to have Asperger's Syndrome (it boosts your intelligence). I am an atheist with Asperger's SYNDROME (not disorder).

  • @mslewp I'm an atheist with bald head disorder

  • @eddygoombah How is being bald a disorder?

  • @mslewp /facepalm

  • @eddygoombah Trololololol.

  • @mslewp woosh

  • @mslewp It does a lot more than that. I have it as well (mildly).

  • If it's not a disorder then why do people have PROBLEMS with it? What the hell is your reasoning here?

  • @ThisWorldWillBeMine who says it's not a disorder?

  • I am an Atheist with Asperger's syndrome and I do not really see it in VenomFangX. I see Narcissism in his behaviour. I also see alot of egotism. However, I have a hard time finding traits that are common in Asperger's syndrome in VenomFangX.

  • @longname25 I am also an Atheist with Asperger's syndrome.

  • @TehFunnehMann I am glad I am not the only one. I would like to ask you. In your opinion. Do you see any traits of Asperger's syndrome in VenomFangX? If so, would you describe them? I would really like to know your opinion. Thank you for your reply.

  • @longname25 Not really. He seems to be fairly comfortable with eye contact, which is the hardest thing.

  • @TehFunnehMann That is what I was thinking. I agree, he seems to be comfortable with eye contact.

  • @longname25 I have a really hard time with eye contact, how about you?

  • @TehFunnehMann I have a little bit of a problem with eye contact. My biggest difficulty is understanding non verbal communication. I have been told that I am "people deaf". Have you ever been told that you "just do not get it" in certain social situations?

  • @longname25 Yes.

  • @TehFunnehMann I am glad you understand. I find it difficult to explain asperger's syndrome to other people.

  • @longname25 I hate pep rallies. I don't like being loud and in crowded places.

  • @TehFunnehMann I do not have a problem with croweded places. I lived in them for years. What I do not like are dogs. I have a fear of them

  • @longname25 your fear of dogs is probably not linked with aspergers, many neuro - typical people are nervous of dogs but many people with AS are completely at ease around dogs, fear of dogs usually stems from a childhood experience

  • @bigmanoooo1 Your right. I did have a childhood experience that influenced my fear of dogs and has nothing to do with my AS. I do want to ask, is it common for people with AS to be diagnossed late in life? Because I was diagnossed with AS when I was 24 years old.

  • @longname25 for an actual diagnosis yes, i was diagnosed when i was about 23 but hen i was in primary school the school psychologist said i had an autistic spectrum disorder but wasn't specific at all, but from what ive read and people ive spoken to the mid twenties isn't really that late, some people weren't diagnosed until their 50's and some never, as you pointed out before AS is very misunderstood

  • He's a Sociopath Eddy, and I'm sure of it. He presents a mask of 'sanity' but clearly has a screw loose. Watch Demetri "The Lover" for the same style of emotionless speech and eery intimidations. His sudden turn to religion is a perfect device for the manipulative mind and certain to warrant attention (be it negative or positive). They're wired differently. Google the article: "Beware the Psychopath My Son" or read "The Sociopath Next Door", "Snakes In Suits".

  • Nah. I just think he's a cunt...

  • @GothicWiccan13 simply by listing off some common traits of aspergers that were given to me by someone WITH aspergers, who happened to be the one who initially saw the traits in Sean to begin with?

How offensive? well, my friend (the one actually with aspergers) enjoyed this video. Even Sean himself got the joke. It's not my fault others don't.

  • @GothicWiccan13 I totally understand immature... but "unacceptable"? seriously? Unacceptable to whom? You? Sean? People with aspergers?

I think your use of the word unacceptable is unacceptable.

  • @GothicWiccan13 @GothicWiccan13 "That's a bit hypocritical" I'm not the one pointing fingers here and claiming a moral high ground while defending someone who is blatantly void of any morals whatsoever (sean). Call me brash, call me sophomoric, heck, you can even call me immature... but smug? sorry GW, you're the one here fitting that description.

  • @GothicWiccan13 "That's irrelevant." says who? His point was that I wouldn't like it if someone made a satirical vid about me, so I shouldn't do it to others. In fact, I welcome it. Because I know the difference btw satire and hate. "Since it becomes a personal attack..." Sean is indeed a douche nozzle. But these are based on his actions. It's not my fault he is a douche nozzle. I am merely pointing out some of his traits that are similar to a mental disorder, I never "diagnosed" anyone.

  • @GothicWiccan13 and I already told Lars that I would have no problem if he made a satirical video about me, in fact I welcome it. Since when is having a sense of humor the "moral low ground"? I recommend you attain one yourself, it would be better for both of us. Smugness is also a part of human nature, but you don't seem to hate that.

  • @GothicWiccan13 I love how people feel offended that someone is making satirical personal attacks about a guy who stole money from sick kids hospital, accused dprjones of being a pedophile, and committed numerous false dmca claims... not to mention the non stop attempt to perpetuate scientific illiteracy and paranoia based around his idea of a religion. No, but I'm the asshole. whatev...

  • First, it's pronounced As-per-jers, not ass-burgers

Second, even if VFX has Aspergers, he's tried to debunk documented evidence for how humans evolved from prehistoric primates with stories about an invisible man in the sky who sculpted a man from dirt

I was diagnosed with mild Apsergers & a couple of symptoms refer to my case, but I was interested in evolution from a young age & I now trust what documented proof can be put before me more than a book, one-off personal experiences & blind faith

  • Regardless of how many stupid things a youtuber has done, its equally as stupid and childish to resort to personal attacks on that youtuber.

If you really believe that VenomFangX has aspergers syndrome, then why are you trying to more or less destroy his life?

I am no fan of VenomFangX, precisely because he's done alot of idiotic things, but I would never resort to ad hominems, especially if I actually believed he was mentally ill.

    Grow up, guys.

  • @LarsTheHonest First, this video was satirical. Even Sean himself got the joke. Second, an ad hominem is when someone tries to link the validity of someone's argument with a personal characteristic. No where in this video do I make the assertion that because VFX might have aspergers, then his argument is incorrect. Satirical insults =/= ad hominems. You should really change your name to LarsTheSickUpTheAss

  • @eddygoombah So if I dont like your videos, you'd have nothing against me posting up a video trying to diagnose you as mentally ill? Even if it was just for entertainment? Other youtubers like dprjones showed no mercy on this poor guy, he created a 3 part series on youtube for one purpose: to mock him.

I dont know Sean personally. I am simply reacting to the way people like him are being treated. Funny that you felt the need to personally attack me aswell. Shows me what kind of person you are.

  • @LarsTheHonest please post a video. I think it would be funny.

you know why? Because I don't have a stick up my butt. Shows what kind of a person you are.

  • Sigh.. Its a imaginary diagnosis, its just another name to excuse people why they aren't as the majority. They pretty much include all behaviors who aren't connected to the majority or, accepted behavior, and put it into a dough and call it Asperger.

Really silly since you can do the same with cheerleaders or fashion addicts and see a common trait in their personality and behavior.

  • @TheAnonymousAspie The last two sentences are right on.

  • Anybody want to be labeled something that may be used to narrow your rights as a human being. Interested in compulsory chemical lobotomies? How about compulsory sterilization because you have a different view or because you insist on exercising your freedom of free speech to express that view? What if you become stigmatized just because you refuse on giving up the ancient notion of having a meaningful intimate relationship, a family? Like to be able to share your beliefs & values w/ your family?

  • @draphaelc um.... huh?

  • @eddygoombah Labels have often been used as tools for ulterior motive. That rarely occurs in present society, right? A label assisting, truly helping provide opportunity is one thing. A label being used to relegate souls to a "lower" tier in a caste system which by its nature holds less opportunity, rights, or prevents an individual from being able to reach full potential is in the end opposed to a society truly valuing equality. Every man-made atrocity in history began with the use of a label.

  • @eddygoombah lame. i know a lot of atheists that have aspergers

  • @yanashkidd77 Is "lame" your new response now? I would expect something more creative from a troll. I guess I was hoping for too much.

  • @eddygoombah im just saying that i dont like this video. but it might be right

  • As an actual aspie, I have to say that yes, most those traits are accurate, but they also vary from person to person, and it would be too simplistic to self-diagnose another person with aspergers because he is socially awkward and has a narrow field of interests.

  • Yeah Asperger's people are completely absorbed by one particular topic, like say baseball cards, and they will learn and remember everything there is to possibly know on the topic. If you have this irrational focus upon religion then you could surely end up like Venomfag.

Personally I don't think he actually has Asberger's, but he certaintly has some kind of personality disorder...

  • @TheAnonymousAspie Awww. Did someone get sand in their vagina? Man, that must suck.

  • @eddygoombah you know how that feels like. u must have had some sand in yours

  • @yanashkidd77 way to use a " I know you are but what am I" rebuttal. Seriously, are you in 4th grade?

  • Insulting to aspie's everywhere. Your attempt at satire is weak by any standard. Venomfangx is a moron. Nothing more

  • @evilgenius2003 I like jello pudding!

  • @eddygoombah Oh I see... Well... Just make sure you get an adult to help you. Special little guy!

  • @eddygoombah Fuck you for insulting us aspies with your psycho babble bullshit. Fuck VFX and fuck you.

  • @DownSociety awww... did someone piss in your fruit loops this morning? I swear it wasn't me.

  • @eddygoombah In fact, someone jacked off in my fruit loops, pissed in my milk and shit on my pop tarts.

    I ate it all.

  • Kharon8

Right. This asshole considers to be douches. He's the douche for using our neurology as a insult to a bipolar bastard like fang(that's his new nickname because I find calling him "venom" to be too highly as he was a badass villain and fang is a pussy Christian moron).Aspire are very introvert and wouldn't go as far as fang has

  • @anarchistvin was that supposed to be in english?

  • @eddygoombah

Well, are we supposed to take your video seriously even though you said you can't be sure and it's still on here.

  • @anarchistvin this video is definitely not serious. It is merely bad satire. I don't think Shawn has aspergers. I simply think he is deluded.

  • @eddygoombah

could you take it down for me and some other people who are offended?AS has a rather positive image in the media from the claims that newton and da vinci had it to the 12 your old who critisize einstein's theories and the fact that 1 in 150 have, so the haters wil just keep coming

  • @anarchistvin

nah... don't really care about the haters. It's not my fault they can't get the joke.

  • @anarchistvin

I made this at like 2 AM

  • atheists suck cock

  • @retrofitable PICS OR NEVER HAPPENED!

  • he doesn't have Aspergers, i should know i have Aspergers Syndrome, people with Aspergers Syndrome are considered high functioning autistic, not mildly autistic. i can understand how most people might misdiagnose or analyze him and others like him to be Autistic or to have a mental disorder i mean i wasn't diagnosed until i was 17, people just didn't pick up on it, but the truth is most people like venom fang x, suffer from personality disorders not autism.

  • *Syndrome... I have it basically (Semantic Pragmatic Disorder) and know people who have it too. I don't think Venom Fang has aspergers... I think he's quite deluded and egotistical but I don't think he is on the autistic spectrum... I wish people would stop giving it a polished look... it just takes the reality of the situation away... I've gotta say that it sucks to the degree of getting and keeping a job most definitely... otherwise I wouldn't give a shit.

  • I have Aspergers and yeah I think he could have it. Thanks for the vid

  • aspie retards.

  • I have asperger's.

  • Aspergers?

No, Shawn has assHOLE syndrome. The technical term is "malignant narcissist": he is a an empathy-barren anus that blazes a trail of shit wherever he goes (if he had any empathy, he wouldn't have stolen funding from Sick Kids' Hospital).

  • -1of2 Explaining how your video examples could be "perceived" afflictions, rather than "real" afflictions:

Perception: *Trying* to speak above their age group.

Reality: -"I want to do things well" (In this case, speaking) .

-"There is no reason why I should not speak correctly and to the best of my ability, although I am aware of the implications if I do" (may be seen as weird/ arrogant/ posh/ snob...etc)

  • @4Teddybears umm..... what are you talking about?

  • @eddygoombah Did you read 2of2? i posted in 2 parts, because I was trying to explain a lot really.

If so, then It's probably something you would never have thought about. After all you have only recently realised about aspergers (about 3 years ago acording to the date on your vid) , and not having experienced any symptoms yourself.

I spose my comments are really for a more serious video on aspergers or autism.

    Sorry to bother you =)

  • @4Teddybears I don't mean this in any disrespect towards you or what you wrote. I sincerely could not make any sense from what you posted.

  • @eddygoombah Yeah, I was aware that I wasnt getting my message across effectively.

I was simpy trying to make the point that, all of the traits you list could be exhibited for valid reasons, and not because of a mental disorder (aspergers).

  • @4Teddybears Agreed

  • -2of2

-So there is a battle in the mind: Follow your logic?, or drop your 't's, and use simpler words?

-*being a strong minded person, I shall stubornly go ahead and speak to the best of my ability*

-failure occurs when you come to a word in you sentence that you are not willing to use, and you can not think of a simpler synonym to replace it!

So you see how this can be perceived as *trying* but being incapable to speak above your years! =)

  • #3of3

I don't know how true this Is across the autistic spectrum, I am aware that atism is differnt from aspergers.

But perhaps those with greater intensities of the disorder are simply more sure of their mind, and it is of less importance that other people degrade them. Or their mind is more "hard wired" (probably in the case of autism and savantism) to follow a certain path with more emphasis on certainty and following through with every thought process. This is what leads to "talent"

  • For me, The symtoms you describe, and the disorder they diagnose is a perceived disorder. There is no disorder. I speak only as someone having experienced many symptoms of aspergers. I experiment with my mind, fully realising the social implications of my actions, yet being misunderstood. In many cases it comes down to a matter of importance; is it really important what other people think of me in this situation? Clearly it is, if this is the basis for establishing a recognised "disorder".

  • #2of3

I say in many cases it may not be important what other people think of my behavior. The problem is those cases where It does matter, but explaination of the situation would be near impossible. For a start you have discredited yourself, so noone is likely to listen. Secondly It is not in the interests of other people to reinstate your status. Thirdly it's a long explaination. Fourth people are going to have to LEARN something in order to understand. You have trapped yourself good!

  • I happen to be an aspie myself, and I can't stand PCS. I think that a more interesting topic would be "ShockofGod and Anti-Social Personality Disorder."

Likewise, I am not a doctor and I am not qualified to formally diagnose somebody, but I strongly believe that the man is a sociopath. Hell, men of that kind are sly enough to lie to any doctor who tries to analyze them.

  • Why does it matter if he has asperger's disorder? I have asperger's disorder too.

  • @supersmash43 It doesn't matter at all. My friend and my girlfriend's dad both have aspergers, and it doesn't seem to have any negative effect on their lives at all. In fact, they probably have benefitted from it in their demanding careers.

Regardless, this video is satire. So, it means nothing in the long run

  • lol assburgers

  • ryanmshepard92 You clearly need to calm down. Did you not watch in the beginning of the video when he clearly said that he had talked to a FRIEND about the matter and that he had no experience in the medical field? He was just repeating what his friend said, he didn't make it up.

  • VenomFangX is an Ass Burger, he doesn't have Aspergers, there is a big difference.

  • So all or most Christians on Youtube have AS? Because many Christians here on Youtube are like Shawn, but slightly different in approach. You are dumb if you think Shawn is even part autistic.

  • @Rawk4Life I don't think Shawn has as nor do I think he has autism.

    Satire... Get to know it!

  • @eddygoombah I've seen some of your videos, and most of them are pretty bad, but this one takes the cake. You go after the simpletons like VFX and act like a pretentious cunt when you do it.

But this was bad. Most of what you said is true to a certain degree. But there are varying levels of Asperger's. The point that struck me was your point on emotions. We do have emotions and we are aware that other people have them as well. Next time, do more digging around than a fucking Wikipedia article.

  • @ryanmshepard92 I'm very sorry you don't like my videos. This one was only meant as a satirical dig at vfx and not meant in any way as a clinical diagnosis for aspergers. Vfx himself got the joke, sorry you dent

  • @eddygoombah I seriously doubt VFX took this as a joke considering he's an oversensitive cunt, but because neither of us have any proof, I'll just drop it.

Another thing that pissed me off was your claim that Aspie's get heavily involved in conspiracy theories and religion. Where the fuck did you get this from? Apparently it was from your ass since it's actually been proven that there is a correlation between Asperger's and atheism.

All I'm saying is, do some goddamn research first.

  • @ryanmshepard92 and all i'm saying is chill out and take that tampon out of your ass.

when this video was first posted, Shawn commented on it. So all you need to do is check the comments.

and as I said earlier, this inspired by a conversation with a friend of mine who I found out had Aspergers. He was the one who listed the symptoms. My girlfriend's da also has it. They are nothing like each other, l which is common since aspergers symptoms varies a lot among those who have it.

  • I have to agree with other posters in that VFX definitely strikes me as having a personality. My brother has Asperger's. VFX is nothing like him. The lack of empathy my brother displays is the result of a lack of ability to properly perceive people's emotions. When he does get that someone is upset, he will in his own way try to be kind and understanding to the best of his ability. The lack of empathy VFX shows is simply born of malice. He understands pain. He just doesn't care.

  • okay...asperger's is NOT a disorder...it's a syndrome...HUGE difference

  • After watching nearly all of Shawns videos I think in all sincerity that he has and is a classic example of Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • @silentfades

My bet was actually on Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I'm not too familiar with BPD. What made you decide to go that route?

  • @silentfades what makes you say that? could you pinpoint key characteristics.

  • Didn't Jordanowen make a reply to this? Am I just too stupid to see the link to the reply video?

  • @Mithcoriel Affirmative- He did, but he probably took it down, because I don't see it anymore.

  • you look like a big bald dick! LMFAO!!! eddy goomba...what a joke.

  • @avoozl07 You know for someone calling ME a dick, you sure have a hard on for being a troll.

  • @eddygoombah HOOOGA!!! you're a funny little man...very little...especially in the crouch.

  • @avoozl07 what's a "crouch"? Did you mean, "crotch"? And how can you tell how large or small my crotch is when the only thing you see of me is my head and shoulders?

are you hallucinating? Or do you just sit and imagine what my crotch looks like all day?

  • @eddygoombah why you spend all your days dreaming of venomfang's ass on your face? you and your band of merry men should leave that loser venomfang outta ur fantasies.

  • @avoozl07 you do know that this video is 3 years old...

    try again.

  • @eddygoombah then take this shit down you bald headed monkey!! nobody gives a shit about venomfangx anymore. you atheists are a bunch of losers just like religious nutjobs. always dwelling in the past.

  • @avoozl07 i like how you are suggesting that people without religion are the ones dwelling in the past.

  • Thanks for doing this video. I might have Aspoerger's and my friend

    here on youtube jediman672 does.

  • I haven't watched the video and I don't intend to say anything about you being right or wrong, I just want to point out that I'm insulted to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Venomfangx

  • Almost everything you say here is nonsense.

  • I have aspergers and am an atheist. Whilst I don't mind free speech, could you try to think of alternative? I can see what you mean, but try to have alteast one alternate theory for things.

  • Do a search on aspergers and atheism, actually atheism has the highest rate of aspergers, i have a relative who works with autism/aspergers and the momment you say "do you believe in god?", they almost go into a fit of rage! ranting things like NO GOD IS INCOMPATIBLE!! YOUR HURTING MY BRAIN, LEAVE ME ALONE!! LOL

  • Ass burgers lol

  • @supershuu Worst name for a disease ever... Yeah I got it so I can say that.

  • After viewing the video and reading some comments I've come to the conclusion that Asperger's disorder is not what afflicts vfx. I am more likely to believe he has narcissistic personality disorder.

  • Sounds like that guy didn't know anything about his own disorder I have Asperger's and you only got a few things right.

  • long ago in norway aspergers medical name was "nerd" since they seemed very interested in specific things.

  • VenomFangX is a retard NOT ASPERGERS

  • @brundukas Nah.

  • See my video responding to one of venomfangx's moronic rantings about evolution. Subscribe if you like what i do! :)

    youtube.com/watch?v=j6spTNEFuC0

  • The guy might be diagnosing aspergers because he himself has aspergers, people with aspergers analyse situations with what is real, but not by using emotions. in vfx's case

    1) His pronunciation was a bit strange but this can be driven by other issues.

    2) As for the comprehention thing, all creationists do that.

    3) He uses his hands all the time

    4) He felt and used emotion frequently

VFX seems more suited to being a megalomaniac, his sense of importance and invincibility stand out for me

  • @deathByStupid like i said in the video, i am no doctor, and I am not giving a real diagnosis by any means. This was just a sophomoric attempt at topical satire at the time. I'll try an not let this nor my raging case of asperger's happen again.

  • @eddygoombah

Poor coordination? Are u saying that these people cannot drive a vehicle down the road?

  • @eddygoombah sorry by "this guy" i meant your friend with aspergers not you, you dont strike me as someone with even a mild case :P.

I definately do think a proper psych analysis of VFX would be pretty interesting not sure if one exists though.

  • @eddygoombah Yes, you would be that guy I was refering to.

  • @sonofgodhead oh I thought you would be referring to someone who actually is "damn satisfied with himself" and " a total prick"...

  • @eddygoombah Okay, whatever. Please don't comment back again. I wasn't trying to get into a bloody pissing match with you.

  • @sonofgodhead is that why you asked " this guy is a total prick. Can't everyone else see it?" because you didn't want to start a "pissing match"?

oh, and I love how you suggest to me not to reply to a comment on my own comment section. next time you call someone a "stupid bastard" make sure you aren't acting like one yourself.

  • I find it most ironic that such a stupid bastard as this guy can seem so damn satasfied with himself. I mean really, this guy is a total prick. Can't everyone else see it?

  • @sonofgodhead who, me?

  • I've always been aware that others have emotions.

  • as someone witht that condition, I dont like being compared with VenomFangX. He lacks intelligence, and i mean serioulsy lacks the intellect that is ascociated with AS. he has no logic, 90% of his facts are wrong... hes just retarded. Hes also a complete liar.

he doesnt have AS, hes certianly not autistic, and hes not normal so something is wrong with him, i agree with that.

  • However the subject that people with asperger's syndrome would be more receptive to conspiracy and religion is very individual and is not a typical trait. Traits like religious belief derives from the environment, as well does the conspiracy theories. I'm a bit jealous of other asperger people as I don't have a particular obsessive interest, well if not sitting in front of my computer and stare into the screen doesn't count, and I hope it doesn't XD

  • I got asperger's syndrome. I understand emotions and I can feel empathy, I just dunno how to express them in a proper way making me look like i lack empathy. It takes some analysis before I can decode the entire content of verbal- gesture language and the tone of the voice. It takes a lot of energy and being in a group of people exhaust me. After a day in town or at a friends home I can be very tired & be in need for a nap. A bit annoying XD If I dont do this I tend to offend people by accident.

  • Please insert the word "with" between "friends" and the parenthesis...

  • As a person who has been labelled with Aspergers- like tendencies, a partner with aspergers, and a having a child who is currently being assessed for aspergers, I find this insulting to be associated with an imbecile like Shawn. Shawn is a sociopath, not a person with a disorder on the autistic spectrum. Due to the above average or gifted IQ, aspies are LESS likely to be creationists. But I can't make an unbiased comment about conspiracies, as I am friends (and support the views of) Tom Grant

  • quite a theory,

about half way through the video I was thinking that this could really apply to any devout theist, to a point,

but you put it much more eloquently,

    thumbs up

  • Asperger's Syndrome is not a disorder. Saying vfx has Asperger's gives him way too much credit. I think the empirical thinking that goes along with Asperger's steers people away from religion.

  • Hey there, I'm not going to jump down your throat or anything but umm .... why are you giving that douche an excuse for being a douche?

I believe most of us have at least 2 symptoms of Aspergers at one time or another but all you're doing here is giving him a bandwagan!

  • @ween47 Actually all I'm doing is making is making a joke. Lighten up.

  • @eddygoombah You're making a joke about a serious disorder(to those that have Aspergers)? Did you even watch this when you finished posting it? Your tone in this video sounded nothing like you're making a joke... Just sayin' ...

    I'm light as a feather... ;)

  • @ween47 sarcasm! get to know it!

  • @eddygoombah yeah and as an person with this so called disorder i can't tell if things is sarcastic or not, please do not putt us in the same thing as him, he is far from us, he is just a idiot

  • I think vfx has serious mental and personality disorder including simple delusions of grandeur and megalomania.

His obvious lack of logic and determination to display his 'reasoning' says to me he's neither autistic or intelligent enough to qualify as having AS.

Also he obviously thrives on any attention -positive or negative.

Even mockery just seems to fuel his self-righteousness.

I believe he needs psychiatric intervention at the very least.

    But the observations were interesting.

  • I am an asperger myself.

  • I have asperger's syndrome myself, oh and I found another weapon for you to use against creationists.

  • Assburgers!!

  • Interesting theory.

  • As you pointed out, I think it's pretty obvious you're not a doctor or any other kind of diagnostician, you needn't worry that anyone will mistake you for one. And it's autistic, not "autismic". Leave your psychological analyses to the experts. BTW, Asberger's is associated with extremely high intellectual functioning, just as is autism.

  • @eliza50ful wow, I really hope someone comes along and pulls the tampon out of your ass for everyone's sake... lighten up. Oh, did I spell "tampon" correctly?

  • @eliza50ful Aspergers and Autism are indeed associated with higher intellectual functioning but Aspergers or Autism does not necessarily = high Intelligence

In the case of VFX, he is not intelligent, he is scientifically illiterate and has indeed demonstrated this. Just go watch a video of his. He once claimed the grand canyon was formed in about 5 minutes.

I also have a friend with aspergers who is very academically smart and gets very good grades, but fails at logic and critical thinking.

  • @eliza50ful It looks like you are ignorant on said subject, most people with Aspergers are savant like, and some what retarded in a classical sense..

  • Re Asperger's:

1st) Though I do agree with some of the things you indicated with regards to Asperger's, I'd like to point out that if some people with this disorder have a fanaticism with regards to theism, by default that would indicate that there are some who do not.

2nd) There are some, though by no means all, people that follow atheism with the same 'religious' fervor as those that follow theism. My brother is one of these.

Clarification: I am not arguing for theism, nor atheism.

  • The reason I'm mentioning these points is simply that my brother has displayed quite a few of the symptoms of Asperger's. He seems to follow atheism with the same devotion as what you've described in the video above. I have looked into the arguments for both theism and atheism, therefore I notice some of the more common ones when a friend of mine debates in favor of theism. My brother never uses any atheism arguments, preferring to rely on "There is no God, because there isn't." belief.

  • Again, no argument for either side. I am also not arguing for or against your "diagnosis for the purpose of entertainment". (I don't have any other way of describing this and mean no offense in any case.) My purpose is simply to clarify that there are likely people with Asperger's on both sides, for better or worse.

  • As for the person you were talking with who has aspergers is probaly also a savant due to the damage to his brain giving him an enhanced ability to focus on a singel thing and excel in it. in this case music. The most well know savant is kim peek.

  • and refusal to accept that the data they have could be wrong. so befor attempting to correct someone with aspergers wise to form a bond of trust in other words they need to know you are worthy of trust befor they will accept anything you have to say. ofcause this does not go for all people with aspergers.
