you don't grind brown rice, you just buy the flour.

the foil goes under the lid.

Hmmm was cool till " now inject your spores" wth? Eeerrm I dont carry injections of shroom spores lol. Any info should really be full and thorough but mmmm id LOVE to fully understand all elements of this. I knew all but spore collection etc. I always, always start my trip stepping off a ship onto a warm sandy shore, 5 mins l8r some cunt turned out the sun and my ship turned out to be a particularly nasty lungworm. So yeah...gotta get bk 2 the beach.

hey man great video. Can you answer some of my questions im a noob. I just innoculated my half pint jars a couple of days ago using vermiculite and rbrown rice that i put in a food processor to make a flour. I have them in my heater because thats a place with good stable heat. ASnyway how long until you see mycewlium i used the brasilain and arcadina coastal strains

@mentalpatientMp I tried already once before and waitrd 2wks b4 i threw them away. I got them from lilshopofspores, so i sent a letter and got some for free. I did everything the exact same as the PF tek. I placed the jars to store in my heater which ranges from 81-85 F. Is this a good pplace to store them? Should i leave the holes sealed on the top of the jar or no? Where do you store yours? Sorry man but most peolpe have just ignored me and i do know about the shroomery! PLZZZ

@IamLincolnLand1 hmm, I kept my jars above my 400 watt hps light. Kept them nice and cozy. I had full colonization in 2 weeks with the 250 ml jars. If the temps are luke warm, you should be fine. There was a guy who forgot his jars in his garage where it was reletively cold, and they still colonized, just took longer. You should have a speedy colonization if you re-injected 10 ml. Keep me updated bro, I wanna hear how it turns out for you!

@hoyratjurnal sorry, I'm really not sure what else you can use. Vermiculite should be found at just about any walmart or home depot, or gardening store. But if you live sort of in the country or something, perhaps it might be harder to find.... Good luck!

alright so i dont wanna buy spore syringes. i have a dried mushroom. can i soak it in water then put it on an agar plate? if i get something as a result of that what do i do from there? just take it out and let it grow or would i do all that crap with the vermiculite

you should take a look into using wild bird seed in jars. much more versatile for spawning to bulk. also check out monotubs. they product much more weight.

@epicseeds thanks for the info! I have been pondering doing a tub or something, but havn't done much research on them yet. Is a pressure cooker neccesary? Or couldn't one do it in the oven? Is the oven efficient enough for sterilization or is the PC the only way to go for good results? Also, what do you think should be the norm on a 250 ml cake? I was getting super low results, each flush usually netted like 3 or 4 grams dry. Although I believe I had humidity issues....

@mentalpatientMp well you ALWAYS should use a pressure cooker no matter if you are doing BRF or WBS. yes, you can get by using the oven but it just isnt worth the risk and time. a pressure cooker is the most important tool for a mycologist.

as for the average weight of prf-tek I would say usually no more than half an oz per cake. it really is such a wasteful and nonproductive technique, but good for beginners.

monotubs are imo the best of both worlds in yield and easiness. all you do is get a tub and but 2 holes on the bottom and 2 holes on the top of each side of the tub and stuff it with polyfil. then just crumble up your colonized jars and mix it with coco coir at the bottom of the tub. wait till the coco is fully colonized then all you do is put a cfl above the tub. you dont have to mist or anything since the tub and the holes keep the perfect humidity.

@freshlio Not sure if I understand your question correctly... What are you trying to get from the shroom? Spores? In order to obtain the spores, I believe it is neccesary to have a fresh cap, not dry. Although the spores would still be present in a dry cap, it would be much harder to get the spores out of a dry one. Place a fresh cap on some tin foil over night and the spores will fall right out and will be ready to be scraped into some water for a syringe =)

@naruto121315 You can order them online, get somebody on the internet to send you some, or if you have some magic shrooms growing around your place, take a cap and let it sit overnight on some tin foil and then scrape the spores off into a syringe. Thxs for watching!

@honsrain669 yeah you pretty much need it. You might be able to substitute the vermiculite with something else, but I really don't know. The vermiculite provides the structure that the mycelium can grow on I believe.

@Kaenanthebarbarian hey, glad you liked the video. Not sure if you can use wbs with this method. Sterilizing, you might need to put it in the oven instead of boiling. Also not sure about the 'mushroom grow' instead of using vermiculite. You can check out shroomery . c o m and post a few of your questions, maybe you'll get a better answer

@KayToTheBee you can make your own by scaping spores into a syringe, or you can order them over the internet. You can originally obtain spores from the cap of a mushroom or you can order the spores as well.

Air? No. Inject 1/2 a cc of Spore Solution which is basically spores and water, OR inject 1/2 a cc of live culture ( LC). Either works. The more you inject, the faster the colonization.
