Because Kitty Entertainment, the company who animated Ranma 1/2, closed, so production of Ranma 1/2 stopped before it could get that far in the series

Like I said, it was the company that animated Ranma 1/2, and they closed down, so the anime version of Ranma 1/2 was canceled before it could get that far into the story.

Because the company that closed was the company that actually made the anime. Viz can't dub what doesn't exist, and they're not an animating company, I don't think, so they can't keep animating it.

No, I know you ment two episodes, I was referring to the Rumic World Gallery. In the front, there was a tv that was playing a clip where Ranma, Inuyasha, Kagome, Lum, and Ataru Moroboshi (characters from three of Rumiko Takahashi's four major works) interacting with eachother. The reason I reffered to it as as an "opening" was because it was before you enter to where all the artwork was. There, they had a new Inuyasha OVA and a new Ranma 1/2 OVA, and I don't know of any others for Ranma 1/2.
