That was the day many animes took a step aside in my mind to make room for what's by far the greatest series I've ever seen. The show was good when I saw it, but the bitter sweet ending ruined it for me. I'm not saying the ending was fitting, it just was depressing as hell. Lately things have been cutting at my heart with the endings of stuff like Code Geass and Rouge Galaxy or important characters getting killed of like in Naruto.

Anyways, good show, soul crushing and heart shattering ending for me.
