@MrJack65721 This protester won an out of court settlement from the City of DC, and the footage of him almost dying was used by the city council to broker a 5-4 decision to withhold police chief ramsey's upcoming raise for a full year. Rather than wait for his raise, chief ramsey shopped himself around Chicago, Miami, Philly and NY etc., until Philly took him in. I would say the most important lesson this protester should have learned was to use a zoom lense from now on.

I did not see 12 cops beat anyone "nearly to death" I did however see a few get roughed up and even a few arrested/detained whatever. I have been to several of the marches and not had any problem with the cops. I would however stand up for my rights and take out as many cops as I could before they managed to overpower me with numbers. You are perfectly correct. If i made it sound like people don't have the right to assemble, it was not my intention. Police permission is never needed to assemble, however the right to assemble is given up when it causes a disruption, because in such a large group there will be trouble makers. Also, some cities require a permit for assembly to keep things more orderly (not saying that applied to this particular case).

By the time I got here, I was already boiling mad about something's I had just watched and read. The protesters were disorderly and should have been all locked up. Marching without a permit is a direct violation of law. Although they have a stupid reason to be there, they were not orderly and blocked the road and made it dangerous for all around. No beatings were shown. Metro Police showed great restraint.
