I am sickened by this video. As a resident of Fargo, I know that MeritCare remained open--its walk-in clinics, emergency room and regional facilities. I feel that this representation is in poor taste even as I know that Innovis is an important community partner. I believe given the circumstances of the flood and the situation MeritCare faced as detailed in the local news, it's sad for Innovis to use this event as a way to position itself. It's disingenuous for those of us whom they thank.
While the 2009 flood was a difficult time for our greater community, the resilience and hard work of volunteers, families and professionals were truly inspiring. It is within that spirit that we sincerely thank all who helped during this experience including the employees of Innovis Health and other local care providers. Our purpose in sharing this video is to document the very real, moving story of a community working together, and to convey our deepest appreciation for their efforts.
Give me a break! MeritCare gets nothing but good press even though they evacuated their patients, patients with open wounds who could barely walk, all by themselves on GreyHound busses and you are upset that Innovis put a video on YouTube???? Innovis did not buy time on any of the 4 local TV stations to brag about anything. MeritCare Hospital DID NOT remain open and that was the point they were trying to touch on. Because MeritCare hospital closed, the VA closed, Innovis was THE ONLY HOSPITAL
