In the hands of a lesser organist, this transcription can sound almost grotesque. Not so with Mr. Trotter...

This performance is a tribute to Wagner, Lemare (what a transcriber he was!) and of course, Thomas Trotter.

Thanks for the video. I heard him play this and the Thalben-Ball Paganini Variations in Naples, Florida about 15 years ago, when console cameras weren't yet common.
