Very nice The same as mine As for the knee prob I took the foot board off Put a half inc space inbetween And hey its bob on Try it you will be well happy
So I notice that you no longer have an air cleaner on the L side. I have an 07 Nomad and thought that set up was weird. What did you have to do to install the hypercharger ?
i must say i purchased a Kuryakyn Hypercharger Set for my 1997 Vulcan 1500 Classic and i must say there is a big difference than without a Charger it looks great and works great i got minimun 8 Hp more Power and torque so i guess it is worth the money
I had a 2002 Nomad with V&H pipes, Power Commander, Air Box from a company in PHoenix (can't remember name). I took all of the Kawasaki labels off and put all the chrome on it that I could buy. It was a beautiful ride.
Not initially, but then again I did not install new pipes unti much later. To me, the Hypercharger was for aesthetic value, but I'm sure it hasn't hurt. ;)
No regrets on the hypercharger. I'm used to the hypercharger now and don't notice it, but yes, it does initially cause interference with the right knee. With modification to both intake and exhaust you will definitely need to add some sort of fuel processor. I have the Cobra Fi2000.
The big city thunder baffles fit in the header pipes just before they exit into the muffler. You can even use these in partnership with the standard baffles.
YES, it's very upsetting they would continue to sell this product with a glaring DEFECT. I used a sanding barrel on my dremel tool to grind down the weld until it actually fit. (note I used a 'snake' attachment, I'm not sure if the regular tool will fit down the hole) I would still call V&H to voice your complaint . . . Good luck. :0)- Jay
As soon as I called the support line to ask about a trouble with fitment, they said they already knew about the issue, but proceeded to tell me how I could fix it myself with a die-grinder. I was appalled V&H would continue to ship inferior parts, especially with such an easy fix.
THEN when another issue arose, they wouldn't believe me until I submitted tons of pictures to prove it and answered a lot of questions determining my level of reading skills and mechanical aptitude (over the phone and in emails). V&H wouldn't replace the defective part until I insisted on it. OVERALL, I felt I had paid a premium for a premium product, but had been decieved.
I paid in the neighborhood of $500+ and had to grind on parts to make it fit together? STUPID!! This model bike might be the only one with this issue, but it's stupid.

No, I didn't notice an increase in idle with this project, but possibly because I had modified the stock exhaust and ran that for a couple years.

Love you bike Jay, I have the stock 2008 1600FI Nomad. The single seat on the bike looks really sharp!
Looking at installing the Jardine Rumblers on my bike shortly.
