BBC have been showing a clip of Pans' People, dancing to this (how bizarre!) over the New Year 2012. I think Flick Colby may have got a gong. But even a dedicated Family freak like me will admit that PP leaping about look better than Roger, especially when you've seen him a zillion times. PLEASE can someone find and post it on Youtube. It wasn't any recorded version I've ever heard, and they may have been present playing Live. The BBC already had a TOTP film of the band, the one that got me hooked
I like this version better than the album one because there is the wah-wha guitar at 0:28 which is absent on the album. I own this single version on the Family 5 CD box-set "Old Songs New Songs". I will probably post this song on HD
saw Family live at Lancaster Uni when you could smoke in the hall - when big names played the uni circuit and it didn't cost a fortune when we were young - brilliant stuff
Amazing track from an all time amazing band. A million times better than anything turned out nowadays from the bullshit, crap riddled xfactor music business. From the days when music meant something....

That guitar chord at 0:28 to 0:31 is not on later releases.

For the true magic of this work of art, open another window and read the lyrics to this song as it plays. Superb.

Terrific stuff from a band who deserved stacks more credit - I put them up there with Tull at that time . . .

Oooh this is so good. Forgot how much I loved this. Roger Chapman had such a distinctive voice and style, it made you pay attention.

Aint a bad version seeing as it has the ghostly accompanying vocal in the final verse.

@furakkueroru The B side had 2 tracks, Strange Band and Hung Up Down. The single was in a red cover with b+w band mugshot.

This is the BEST version.
Does it exist on CD with the wah-wah guitar in the intro?
