  • It's a shame that Madison's Monona Terrace convention center wasn't built while Frank Lloyd Wright was alive and could have carried out the the way it should have been. The view of the building from across Lake Monona is beautiful. That much of it is Wright's design. The rest of the building is Tony Putnam's design that was hindered by tight budgets and insistence on square rooms. I don't think Frank Lloyd Wright would be happy about the "fake on the lake" being attributed to him.
