  • nice.

  • Man this cat is crushing the keys! Just think some said this is the devil's music back then. LOL

    Hell, lets Boggy

  • Five stars. Thank you!

  • I saw Eubie produced a CD you recorded. I didnt know it...

How could i order to buy it?

  • Have you ever considered notating this into sheet music?

  • Yes, I am considering compiling a variety of classic jazz piano selections into a folio.

  • Really neat tune, though! I like these funky fast early ragtime boogies! 5 stars!

  • Thank you. The improvised choruses that I used after the initial three statements were all within the style of Eubie and his contempories. These gentlemen were indeed fast, funky and boogied way ahead of their time!

  • Yeah, I've heard of some of those guys, I've read a couple of biographies on him too. My grandmother met him and gave me some autographed records of his when I was a teen and I've been hooked on his music ever since.

  • Very intersting, expecially since it's a 12 bar blues/boogie dating from 1901. Did Eubie say whom he learned it from?

  • Glad you enjoyed it...Eubie composed it himself and you can find an excellent perfomance of his own on his Grammy Winning double album on Columbia"The 86 years of Eubie Blake". "One Leg Willie Joseph", "Jack The Bear", Jesse Pickett were among the movers and shakers that influenced Eubie as a young player. No recordings apparently exist of this earlier generation of rags/jazz/blues pianists...
