Mega trekker here. Love 90 percent of all the treks but this was nonsense. Shame on Brent Spiner for ripping every fibre of Wrath of Kahn. Second, if you were a clone or were cloned...WHO GIVES A SH8T! This movie was a total bust and no way to send off the Next Gen. Sad. I am sure on paper it read good but it......I am pissed. Insurrection was bad enough without even having an Insuurection but Nem is just crap in my opinion. Sorry but it still upsets me ten years later.
Honestly, it was a bad ass film. Wasn't trying to be Wrath of Kahn or anything else but just a different kind of Trek flick because Insurrection was just horrible. Not a horrible movie but it was a 2 hour version of an TNG Epiosode and it had a crappy villain. This film had action, suspence and Shinzon was creepy. A good send off and not trying to rip Undiscovered Country's been there, done that idea of "Retirement". Awesome in my book. But no JJ Abrams Trek, that's another story on it's own.
Not as bad as its reputation, but not as good as the cast make it out to be. Definitely needed a better director, but it's not a strong, original script, sadly. Decent trailer, though it gives away a lot whilst also being rather vague about the plot. Love the HD, bad sound sync though...
Every1 says Nemesis wasnt that good, but I think it was alright, it was quite dark, tried sumthing allitle different which I repect it for. Also alot of people forget that Nemesis came out in 2002, and there were alot of other films it had to compete with in that year. A second Harry Potter movie, James Bond sequel, and Lord of the Rings Sequel. These movies all came out arnd the same time.
He's an vengeful clone, does that make him Star Trek's version of Mewtwo? :P
