@tman8077 absolutely! The only thing I disliked was how the console was partially hidden from view when you walk into the church, you see the alter in front of you, where you pass by the partial foyer by the doors where the church tour guides meet you. Also I wish there was a little more reverberation in the church itself, though it is very much so made of brick and stone.
@poopingeneral Yes, I agree with you, I wish it had more reverberation also, you would think it would, because of all of the stone and brick. I also wish that there was more of a pedal section, because of the pipes being enclosed in the ceiling.
Wonderful! This reminds me of when I went to Chippokes Park (across the river from Jamestown) to volunteer over Spring Break last year. We also got a chance to go see the Jamestown Settlement museum - it was fantastic!
The organ that was pictured fron 0:11-0:14 is not the organ she is playing. It was the original appleton organ that is not playable. The 4-manual she is playing has no visible pipes; they are all above the flat ceiling so as not to make the church look too crowded.
Do you have any other videos of her playing in Williamsburg. I live a few miles from there, and have been to the church several times. I would enjoy watching more videos of her playing there.
Unfortunately no. The video I got this from was a mix video, meaning she plays on a variety of organs around the world. This was the only song played on this organ on this video.
@bishfan She has a Williamsburg DVD though, doesn't she? I was just recently invited to go down the Bruton Parish and play the organ!!! Just the thought of sitting and playing an organ where a great organist like, Diane Bish, sat and played...WOW! I really want to meet her and have her how me things on the organ!
@tman8077 The best way to get to know Diane is by joining her on one of her tours. I joined her on many tours (it does cost a bit of money) and there were times between takes where you could just sit and chat with her. I even got to dance with her! The camera crew asked me if I wanted to help out with production and I said "absolutely". I helped with everything from lighting, to transportation to holding cue cards. My name is on the credits for some of the programs. I highly recommend it.
@tman8077 I wasn't with her on this particular tour. I was with her on the U.K. tour and the tour through Alaska. If you visit her website and click on Musical Tours, you can find out all about it. They are quite a musical adventure.
IS there any sheet music for her arrangement?

@tman8077 I doubt it. It looks as if she's improvising on the spot.

It's strange how one tune is used for more than one set of words. To people like me, this tune has always been known as 'God save the Queen'.

I was privileged enough to be able to play this Pipe Organ over the weekend. What a beautiful church and organ.

@poopingeneral It's a great instrument, isn't it? I was privileged to play it last summer!

@bishfan I filmed a lot of behind the scenes footage from the tours, much of it you can see at the end of some of my uploads on my channel.
