@kaiitlyn1 Howard is a solid center. He ain't great. He is a physical player who uses his strength. He still has potential as he still works on his game, but right now, centers are not great in the NBA. Yao is just a capable scorer as Howard, but Yao's weakness is also his strength, his height. Yao's height helps him to score, but he has to carry that 7'5" body up, and down the court. He's slow. Dwight better defense, but Yao ain't known for defense anyways.

He was just flat out dominant in scoring and maintained a good FG for the amount of scoring he did. Very efficient scorer even against other HOF centers. I just don't think Howard would have faired well against the likes of David Robinson, Ewing, Hakeems back in the 80s/90s. He has little to face now days. He's OK. But he's not a spectacular or Dominant player to me. Just my Opinion.

2:00 on - Lot of good team play on this mix, great passes by those guards in to the big man & he's quick to get to the hoop - they got those '80s Pat Riley plays, those Showtime Lakers transition moves of Worthy and Magic down pretty good really. Good isolation work in places too
I would bet they watched a lot of tape from that time frame, to me there's some Moses / Dr. J type action going on too.

yannickcarrion I'm 5 8 and I can do fancy windmill dunks. Honestly, anyone can do it, just do the right workouts with the right nutrition. I personally used the workout training at 50 inch vertical (dot) com but any workout could be followed if you can check they generate results

@kaiitlyn1 Howard is a solid center. He ain't great. He is a physical player who uses his strength. He still has potential as he still works on his game, but right now, centers are not great in the NBA. Yao is just a capable scorer as Howard, but Yao's weakness is also his strength, his height. Yao's height helps him to score, but he has to carry that 7'5" body up, and down the court. He's slow. Dwight better defense, but Yao ain't known for defense anyways.

@NBAGOATS Well man you obviously havent read D. Howards stats bro. Howard AVG over 14 rebs and had FG% of 61, Shaq was never that high at either statistic. Shaq has had 2 years where he AVG 3 BLKs a game or higher and so has Howard but didnt hit 3.5 like shaq did one year

@Mikietikie - Shaq's numbers are taking into account his competition. Shaq never was a good rebounder. He was just flat out dominant in scoring and maintained a good FG for the amount of scoring he did. Very efficient scorer even against other HOF centers. I just don't think Howard would have faired well against the likes of David Robinson, Ewing, Hakeems back in the 80s/90s. He has little to face now days. He's OK. But he's not a spectacular or Dominant player to me. Just my Opinion.

Dwight would be too much for David Robinson and Ewing, as he is much, much more stronger and athletic. Shaq in his prime would rival him in strength, but Dwight is much more agile. A sport experience an influx of great ratings and talent which equals money, then that disappears and the rules change to try to put on an illusion. You can't fool the people. @Mikietikie Dwight Howard ain't great. He's solid. Comparing him to Shaq is lunacy. Yes Howard plays physical like Shaq, but he ain't better than Shaq AT ALL... LaMarcus Alderidge is just a capable scorer as Dwight, but he does it with actual low post moves. Dwight uses his strength mainly, but he ain't no Shaq. The NBA doesn't have any great centers today. They are all gone, or old, and he definitely ain't no Hakeem Olajuwon when it comes to low post moves, and nowhere as strong as Shaq.

His defensive ratings match up with some of the all-time greats and his offense is always around 60%, which is remarkably efficient. He's likely 10x the player Aldridge is based on his overall impact on the game and how far he's taken his team in the playoffs. He's a great player, not solid, GREAT.

I used the word "likely" as a tool of estimation, not doubt. Dwight is unequivocally the better player of the two. He provides 20/10 (which are GREAT stats, not solid, imbecile) along with DPOY ability on the defensive end. He can hook it from either baseline with EITHER hand (which Aldridge doesn't exhibit), and has improved his footwork dramatically. Btw, the use of LMFAO makes you look more like a buffoon than anything else. I fail to see who you're trying to impress.

Also, I find it beyond humorous that you penalize Dwight for being able to out-muscle his opposition. The most efficient shot in basketball is, you guessed it, the dunk. If you could dunk it. If you could dunk it on every possession, you'd be the GOAT. Similarly, the most efficient shots come within 10 feet of the basket.
Also, 20/10 is a "marginal" stat? Do you know what marginal means? There have only been 9 players in the past DECADE to hit those stats with consistency.
