I've had my doubts about God, and last year was especially difficult. But I finally realized for sure that He was there when a very close friend let me down and hurt me... and I felt comforted, and freed from my burdens. I really need to say this arrangements are... weird. They make the song sound depressive. If she wanted to have this song in her reportoire so bad, she shouldve left it the way Townsend and Getty made it, bcuz sometimes u dont need to change what is perfect. I definetely dont like this arrangements. Her vocals are so overdone, and the song originally was made following a hymn pattern, which was what made it so great. This time the song was shattered.

What i really don't get, is if atheists think we are just accidental blobs of cells, why they believe so firmly that killing humanity is wrong. @elladash0love I was raised christian, but my main problem wasn't with the people being mostly fat and dull, and they weren't especially rude or intentionally offense. My reason for leaving the church was that I realized I had no reason to believe in the god superstition, and there was no evidence to encourage me to believe in it. So I was a child told something untrue then capable of identifying the lack of reason involved.
So it was my own intelligent choice to "give up on the love of god".

There was no evidence to support or suggest the claims that christians for some reason pass on as truth. The same applied to every single religion I studied after this, none of them really had any sane reason to be considered "real". And most of their stories were not at all historical, some of them can even be proven as rewrites and forgery.

Ive had an encounter with a God who is very real to me. Many things of this world we do not have proof of (i.e. we cant see, but yet we still believe they exist and rely on them existing); but that is where FAITH comes into play. When you have a personal relationship with Jesus, and He has changed your life and your heart, rescued you from despairing times-that is no storybook, that is REAL LIFE and there is no denying His impact. I've had my doubts about God, and last year was especially difficult. But I finally realized for sure that He was there when a very close friend let me down and hurt me... and I felt comforted, and freed from my burdens. That was when I knew God was calling me back to Him. Praise God for using a tragedy to bring my back to Him! :)

I have heard the song else where and liked it .. People sacrifice/risk their life for others not necessarily dying on a cross but it does happen even today, and it all in the name of love :)

I really need to say this arrangements are... weird. They make the song sound depressive. If she wanted to have this song in her reportoire so bad, she shouldve left it the way Townsend and Getty made it, bcuz sometimes u dont need to change what is perfect. I definetely dont like this arrangements. Her vocals are so overdone, and the song originally was made following a hymn pattern, which was what made it so great. This time the song was shattered.

I totally agree with the importance of making somebody else`s song your own when you choose to sing it,but c`mon! At many,many points it sounds like she`s singing a different song.She didnt make it her own,she changed it. She made a whole new song with Townsend`s lyrics, depressive arrangements and overly done vocals.
And yeah, I agree aswel with the God doesnt mind the arrangements part., but personally, I would have big trouble trying to worship God with this one (Total Personal Opinion)

What i really don't get, is if atheists think we are just accidental blobs of cells, why they believe so firmly that killing humanity is wrong. @elladash0love I was raised christian, but my main problem wasn't with the people being mostly fat and dull, and they weren't especially rude or intentionally offense. My reason for leaving the church was that I realized I had no reason to believe in the god superstition, and there was no evidence to encourage me to believe in it. So I was a child told something untrue then capable of identifying the lack of reason involved.
So it was my own intelligent choice to "give up on the love of god".

@MetalChica7 I had not even yet reached puberty when I realized there was no logical reason to believe in god. There was no evidence to support or suggest the claims that christians for some reason pass on as truth. The same applied to every single religion I studied after this, none of them really had any sane reason to be considered "real". And most of their stories were not at all historical, some of them can even be proven as rewrites and forgery.

Scientists also said the world was round and that there was no such thing as gravity. However, your great scientists have never been able to prove that there is no God. Ive had an encounter with a God who is very real to me. Many things of this world we do not have proof of (i.e. we cant see, but yet we still believe they exist and rely on them existing); but that is where FAITH comes into play. When you have a personal relationship with Jesus, and He has changed your life and your heart, rescued you from despairing times-that is no storybook, that is REAL LIFE and there is no denying His impact. If you cannot understand that,I pray that you will one day soon.
