  • Damn man the Stones 1970-1973 were the best rock band on the planet.

  • If you are a devotee of 'seventies music, then check out the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero.

  • thx trog57, this clip is one of the best. quite a unique juke box ole' utube... absolutely bitch'n man, this ear's grateful that music is back in the peoples hands like when dj's actually played what mattered to them or sailors played what kept them happy etc. thx god bless

  • My mum and dad were at this concert. It was an extremely hot day. At one point in the show, Mick humped the stage floor ''and the crowd went nuts'' my dad said

  • Bobby Keys is the fifth member of the stones..

  • @truontofriitz The 5th??? who didn't count---? Mick.Keith, Bill, Mick Taylor, Charlie? Bobby Keys is more like the 7th member of the Stones after Ian Stewart.

  • kg441 has uploaded the entire daytime Melbourne show ('125 Degrees in the Shade' - from a very good audience tape).

  • @Lucius133 i would love 2 see the kooyong concert my brother(R.I.P.) bought out centre front row ,he slept out for 5 nites for them .Ihave pictures of him holding them proudly rain hail or shine they played it hot mick thru buckets of water out o,er the crowd and my bro treasured that tin for years . i was 12 years old n missed it having been too young in the eyes o my parents would love to view your upload stay cool m8

  • until it was cut this was undoubtedly the best live version of bitch I have heard.

  • I'm just greatful to have this thanks!!

  • Thanks for doing this.

  • I'm loving all the Stones video I can find.

  • why does it end so soon? i wanna see the whole thing!

  • Only the first 2 opening numbers were allowed to be recorded and only half of each song were permitted to be broadcast on Australian TV. As such this is all that is available to work with. The audio I overlaid was obviously edited to fit what video was available. Likewise with the other Brown sugar clip. Wish I could get the full videos to complete them fully.

  • WHY IS THIS CUT?

  • lol at 0.57

  • Absolutely. He shared piano duties with Ian Stewart on each show for the tour

  • Was that Nicky Hopkins on piano?

  • best Stones period !

  • boo it trails away as MT sets off on a run

    great post tho.

  • Mick Taylor is one of the best guitarist ... and one of the most attached

  • Hey Man...Where's the rest of the tune? I'm totally bummed because i was getting into it...That was a tight version of Bitch. Could you upload the tune with no video?....Maybe just use a cover photo? I would dig it very much!!!!!!

  • The Perth and Melbourne concerts in 73 seem to be the best ones - or at least, among the best ones _ the Stones have ever done. The difference is that it is too difficult to find videos of these historical moments to watch nowadays. A true pity.

  • notice how polite these Aussies are, noone is crowding to the front.

  • 1970-1973 the most wild time on stones history.but only two wild members on stage: mick jagger and keith richards, the other three quiet people:charlie, bill and mick t.

    strange !

  • well charlie's personality matches his jazz roots...he just kinda is chillin with his back beat

  • Stones rock,Temptations beat priceless!!!!!!!!

  • Get Ready(here I come)

  • they did the same thing for zeppelin on their dvd.

  • yep, that's where I got the idea in the first place. Interestingly both lots of footage came from TV broadcats in either Sydney or Melbourne in '72-'73. I would love to get hold of the full versions the 2 Stones tracks so I could complete them.

  • Fantastic idea to dub in live audio from the same tour. Brilliant! Thank you!

  • stones' best years--early to mid 70s... XD

  • Stones at there Best!!

  • It's from the Australia 1973 video.

  • MICK TAYLOR ROCKS!!!

  • Its Mick Jagger

  • No. I mean Mick Taylor!!

  • damn i wish i was at that show. I might have gotten laid.

  • Hey, nice piece. Do you have the rest of this concert or do you know where to purchase it?

  • Could that be Taj Mahal sitting there clapping and swigging on something behind the band?

  • AAAAHHH yeahhhhhh .... amazing :)

  • Get these from the Pacific Tour 1973: LA Nicaraguan Benefit (Mickboy Remaster) / Honolulu 1/22/73 2nd show; 68min; 7.0 sound; Mick T's Last US Performance / Perth, Australia 2/24/73; 50min; 9.0 s / Sydney 2/26/73; 65 min; 8.5 s, another stereo soundboard rec though not quite as good as 2/24 Perth; the tape has been copied a few more times.
