I ripped a strip of fabric from an old shirt, tied it up into a ball, and soaked it in rubbing alcohol. Lysol Disinfectant Spray worked as well. There are a couple of YouTube tutorials on how to do it.
...So when I use Murphy's Law to justify my fear of something Parkour-related, it's wimpiness, but when YOU do it in the fear that your house might burn down, it's okay?
Messing around with things on a molecular level will yield far more serious ramifications than a Parkour accident. Generally speaking, repairing a house will probably cost more than fixing a broken bone or two, and I don't think insurance covers the costs, whereas a broken bone it would.
It's not fear, just a money issue. What with all the recession and everything.
It's part of a t-shirt that I cut and bundled into a ball. Then i doused it with rubbing alcohol. Since rubbing alcohol vaporizes quickly, the burning occurs ABOVE the ball, so the heat is not felt on your hands that much.
I tried it with Lysol disinfectant spray. It worked, but it burned a bit hotter (those were the times that i set it down for a few seconds)

Ms. Min would be so proud. Throw it in the microwave and set it for one minute next time. I'm curious to see what happens.

If i had my own house and my own microwave, I would.
But i don't, so if my house exploded, I'd be held liable.
I think you should do it. And throws some cornstarch+water mixture in there as well :D
SaruNinja 3 years ago
Well, if the cornstarch+water mixture doesn't extinguish the flame, then I still think nothing will happen.
But I'm still not gonna do it anyways. Always remember Murphy's Law.
