Also you guys don't seem to realize that when you fight jobe the goal is to make the green squares at the center behind him all turn red by shooting them. You need to actually aim away from Jobe, who is protecting the green access points.
I think you guys didn't really give the game enough credit. Definitely could have done with a health bar indeed. But I thought gameplay was pretty unique at the time. Switching between different modes of playing very nice.
Co-operative play? Hell yeah, so many games missed this, it made the game really fun.
Last but not least, the music was extremely good. Intro music, virtual reality music... The auror the game creates... I think it was a good game.
@Nintendoo yea i loved playing this with my cousin, and when I found there was a movie about this game i got like OMG THE GREATEST GAME EVER, lol... i think snes took my best of videogames lol
what do you mean you have to randomly guess on the number puzzle? the numbers were going up by 5's. if the sequence is 3, 8, 13, ___ the next number is obviously 18.
I gotta admit that I loved the Lawnmower Man movie i thought it was a really Unique and enjoyable Sci-Fi flick and as for the Game
well I played the the Sega Genesis version and that one was better in terms of gameplay because you had a life bar which lasted pretty well, but the SNES version was pretty mediocre but not horrible. However if you didn't like the first Lawnmower man movie well be thankful you didn't see the sequel Lawnmower Man 2 the whole movie was just boring.
Wow dude this whole review pissed me off. You do nothing but complain about the defects of a SNES game made in 1993. I agree, this game is hard as all hell, but it's not that bad. Be happy you got the SNES version and not the Gameboy or Sega CD versions, those would REALLY piss you off. I enjoyed this game playing it as a kid.
I'm not quite a "fan" of this franchise, but I gotta give you a big finger back for this bitchfest.

The game isn't half bad, and gets challenging especially later on. The final boss is stupidly hard though.
All in all this game while flawed was actually pretty fun back in the day. Its atmosphere was cooler and more 'Tron' like than the movie.

Personally I don't think this game is bad maybe even good.
and the SNES advantage is so big because it's supposed to be like a arcade (you put it on the table)
