  • wow, 9 wasted years... and a further 10 in prison.

  • Google "WIkileaks Kent Hovind Dissertation"

  • Comment removed

  • "Harvard, Princeton, Yale aren't accredited".

    Bwa!

    Bwaha!!

    Bwahahahahahahahaahaha!!!

  • If Kent Hovind is a Doctor of Philosophy then I am a Nobel Prize Winner in Gynecology.

  • His "PhD" Thesis begins "Hi - I'm Kent Hovind". I am NOT kidding.

  • an evolutionist is nothing more than an educated idiot. You only need to look in your own back yard or in the mirror to see that evolution is a joke.

  • @davidtinney1

Fortunately, scientists basis their work on evidence. That is why scientists are Christians, Muslims, Hindus and atheists. People with university degrees who use the scientific method in labs. They base their conclusions on evidence, not their faith.

On the other hand, Hovind is an idiot with fake degree and 58 felony convictions pushing his conspiracies to make money.

You clearly don't understand the meaning of education, much less the difference between science and religion.

  • @davidtinney1 that makes absolutely no sense.

  • @davidtinney1 what?

  • he needed 9 years for finish his PhD in a bullshit university and i thought he has a iq about 160 LOL liar

  • 'dr' ian paisley in northern ireland has one of these lucky bag degree's and got away with it for years.

  • I read a summary of the thing, and read as much of the original as I could stomach. I understand why he should have a PhD in Christian Ed. The thing is a monument to it. It shows a complete lack of any scientific knowledge in any field, yet he spews forth on all sorts of high topics. It is disjointed, devoid of any non-Biblical citation, uses sentence structure and analysis of an 8th grader, contains lies and misrepresentations. That is, It shows that he is truly an expert on Christian Ed.

  • I've seen his dissertation. Its at best a 7th grade level essay written by a homeschooled child. NO reputable accredited university would ever grant him a PHd on such a piece of trash. Students spend YEARS of research on their thesis. It must be backed by actual facts, contribute something new, and be publishable in a reputable, accreditable journal. My sister's dissertation was a real one, and what a world of difference.

  • christard idiot.

  • They had 400 students and gave away 399 PhD's. The 400th student couldn't afford the $100 price tag.

  • @wosh11 They also offer a steak dinner to anyone who transfers fro ORU (Oral Roberts University) They both issue degrees in Charlatanism 101

  • I show my ignorance? Oh the irony of that statement. AIG is a prime example of how to move the goal posts. They only do the "articles" like the one you describe after the proponents pushing that crap have humiliated themselves to the point that the creationists start ridiculing them. You are a textbook example of a moron. You direct me to a website that is crap, then when I state that it is crap, you while like a child and run away. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Coward.

  • Hovind disgusts me. He pisses in the pool of human knowledge. Claims to be a doctor because he got a piece of paper from a correspondence diploma mill and claims to be on a par with people who actually worked hard and earned their degree with research and learning. I read his thesis, it would be laughed out of any reputable institution. If this low grade moron is the best the creationists can offer to present their argument, they are in serious trouble.

  • If you think he is the best we have, then you haven't been paying attention. A quick look at the Answers in Genesis website will reveal scores of real scientists, with PhDs, earned at real, accredited universities. Hovind has become almost totally irrelevant in Apologetic circles.

  • @saintoccasionally If he isn't your best, he is parroting the same crap that I have heard from every creationist. I have seen the answers in genesis site. If it were printed on paper, I wouldn't wallpaper my outhouse with that crap. There isn't anything on that site that is a explanation. You have to believe it is right to think it is right. That site is nothing more than preaching to the converted.

  • @tcsam9202 You show your ignorance. In the AIG article entitled "arguments creationists should avoid" there are 21 arguments listed. I have heard Hovind use most of them. And you miss the point. The "only the morons believe that" argument should be on a similar list for naturalists and atheists. Not only does it not actually prove anything, it isn't true. That was a nice tantrum; but I'm afraid you have only demonstrated your inability to argue in a cogent, grown up manner. Good-bye.

  • The point is Kent does not understand Science. He thinks he can prove every scientist in the world wrong but doesn't know what he is talking about.

  • what a shady answer!!!!! He got his degree from a mailbox university. He says his doctorate is not relevant. WELL LET HIM NOT CALL HIMSELF DOCTOR.

this man has the effrontery to bring discredit to the Name of God ALmighty by invoking the name "Doctor" without valid warrant

  • Still not sure how one can get a Ph.D with an unfinished dissertation.

  • @jcgadfly diploma mill out of mexico

  • @guineapiggyman I know that and you know that. Would someone please tell Kent he can't claim an earned PH.D without a finished dissertation?

  • I watched a video of "Dr" Hovind, without prior knowledge of him. After about 3 minutes of him denouncing evolution, I could tell he wasn't a real doctor! He's a joke! He made a remark of the earth not being around 4.5 billion years old, yet failed to expand on it in anyway.

If a creationist can explain to me why the earth is not at least 4.5 billion years old, I look forward to seeing your (weak) argument! :)

  • creation vs evolution . free forums . org

  • Hovind - so crazy even Answers in Genesis think he's bonkers

  • The dissertation definitely proves that the education was a joke. I don't doubt it that he "liked his time there" and that it took him 9 years... He's not too bright and he enjoys his Christian education.

  • @1313sku

Dude - god plays both sides of the fence. He calls christians to go forth and spread the good word. He also calls muslims to go forth and convert people to islam. To make things interesting he tells both sides that it's an exclusive deal. Beethoven used to do the same thing when selling his compositions. Everyone is happy until they meet each other. Personally I think that god, if he or she exists, is a dick.

  • By the way, i couldnt care less if he has a degree or not ! its not relevant ! Its yet again another way you evolutionists hide behind the truth to attack the messenger and not the actual content of what he is saying ! Kent Hovind has more knowledge in his little finger than most of these so called professors have put together ! To watch people try to debate him is laughable !

  • @wianian Reputable scientists do not waste their valuable time "debating" with creatards like kent hovind on his totally ludicrous tomfoolery. Would you expect a reproductive scientist debate with some idiot about the stork theory?

  • exactly Trinity ! Who gives a crap if you have a Degree or not ! The point is Hovind knows the truth and he irritates Evolutionists as they have no answer for what he says! The whole theory of evolution is a Lie, and a big Con and it only appeals to people who sadly refuse to be accountable to God, and so they can do whatever they like ! Over 3000 professors refuse to debate him because they are Shit scared of having their evolution theory smashed to bits !

  • I saw Kent Hovind's dissertation...I must say it would make the SAT Writing Section a lot easier. The mistakes are look like they were made by a second-grader!!

  • He says its meaningless and call him whatever you want. In a debate with Massimo Pigliucci he took exception to the moderator calling him "Mister" and not "Doctor". So maybe it is more important that he leads on.

  • @Trin80ty Just hush yourself now Trin, you fail.

  • LOLOLOLOL Go Kent!! Listen to u morons. This guy isnt a criminal, he doesnt kill, rape or pillage. He tries to get idiots like u lot to open your eyes and see the truth and you see comments like " we HATE him" OMG PATHETIC!!! The guy has more knowledge in his little finger than you all put together, absolutely irrelevant if his knowledge is accredited, as he clearly says in the video. Honestly, go pick holes in something else, like THE BIG BANG THEORY!! Muppets!!

  • @1313sku wtf hes spreading bullshit thats why we hate him.

  • @1313sku i agree christians and other religious folks are irritating... :P sorry couldnt help myself. this guy is a bigger joke than the bible.

  • "Dr." Kunt Hovind is about as much a Doctor as Dr. Seus.

  • @NegativeBeef And you are about as useful as useless. Thanks for your ignorant comment.

  • Oops on Kent's part, actually questioning his 'degree' is NOT an ad-hominem attack because he wishes to have "Ph.D." appear before his name in debates and on publications → It is not, therefore, an ad-hominem attack to question one's credentials when they are attempting to use said credentials in support of their position.

If Kent would leave "Ph.D." off of his name in debates then YES it would be an ad-hominem attack, but because Kent himself brings it up first this is not an attack.

  • What a shit, and yet the evangelical right love him!

  • Baba Hovind, you are a certified lying piece of sh*t. Guaranteed.

  • Charlatan

  • I just read Hovind's dissertation, and I wish I could get that time back now...The stupid, it burns!

  • @Stringprodigy: You think he's bad? Try Carl Baugh. Both the Discovery Institute and AiG have disavowed anything he's worked on. Next time someone asks you about Nebraska Man, return the favor and ask them about Paluxy Man. Talkorigins has a very interesting article about that little episode.

  • Why aren't those people (other then him ) in jail for fraud.

  • @no1saphead because its not illegal to be batshit crazy fucking stupid. If it was we wouldn't have any elected officals.

  • Wow, he doesn't even know what an ad hominem is. Of course, to him, any legitimate criticism is an attack. Anyone who's taken intro level philosophy courses can see how flawed his logic is.

  • While I'm not disagreeing with any of your assertions, I think you should rename your series Kent Hovind is a deluded fantasist, blatent liar and convicted fraudster who makes money out of ignorant people by telling them what they want to hear......

Errr...OK, your's has a better ring to it.

But actually, I think crazy is the last thing he is, he is a clever con man who got over-confident. If he'd paid his taxes, he'd still be on the circuit spouting that crap.

  • clever?

  • Clever man? He started his doctoral dissertation with "Hello, my name is Kent Hovind." I mean, WOW.

  • @Atalantius Well, it would be nice to know who's doctoral dissertation belongs to.

    Wouldn't it...

Does it really matter, anything to get at the christians hey.

  • @Atalantius Indeed - I am jealous.

I should of thought of that.

    I did it all wrong.

  • I agree with some of this video however, Mr. Hovind is correct when he says that you cant attack the message so you attack the messenger. I happen to have quite a bit of knowledge of guitars and how they work, but Im not a luthier. I shouldnt call myself a luthier but just because Im not, doesnt mean my "knowledge" should be disregarded as you suggest for Mr Hovind's knowledge. I saw him in a debate with an 'ACCREDITED, TRAINED COLLEGE PROFESSOR" and his knowledge was far superior. U lose

  • His knowledge can look far superior to someone who can't analyze the points being brought up for themselves. I'm not trying to attack you or anything; not many people have higher education in biology but if you do then it becomes very obvious that Hovind's arguments make no sense. In particular that thing about the sky having a layer of liquid water in it. Almost all of his arguments are circular or are based on dubious evidence. There is a reason why not even other Creationists like him.

  • I will give him credit though, he is a pretty decent public speaker.

  • Example: Here is one of those "Accredited, college educated professors". Just listen to his absurdity in the first 30 seconds. Quote: "Given enough time, you can turn anything into anything" ?????????? Is that science? That is the only point I was trying to make. The person posting the video was making it sound like having the "accredited" PHD is all it takes to be taken seriously and therefore that must be the "truth"

    watch?v=GBwXFBBXcS0

  • If you really want to get nitty gritty with minute details, that assertion is technically correct; although the likelihood of such an event happening is so small that it is considered impossible for practical application. According to Quantam Physics, everything, even things normally considered impossible, will EVENTUALLY happen given an INFINITE amount of time.

That statement he made probably was more of an exaggeration to make a point than it was supposed to be a real assertion.
