The squid was just Harrys manifestation, there wasnt any physical being, except other than the sphere itself which must have come from somewhere in space where the Americans eventually picked up

@bentotheclarke i think the "alien" is basically just the power that they discovered, the power to make their dreams come true. it was an alien technology of some sort that landed there but in the end they realized that the human race was not ready for it. but there r no actual 'little green men'. wen u think bout it, very much a human thing of course , the psych thing- about the power of the mind and wat we're able to convince ourselves of, n how we get lost in ideas that can seem so real.

one of the problems with the movie, at the end of the trailer with the countdown, beth was unconcious and she started the explosives timer so i dont know why she was worrying so much....in the book anyway. they should have followed the book more.

event horizon is basically a haunted castle in space (the writter said this), the sphere is about the corruption of the human mind and that if we were given a gift that could cure all our ails- it would end up killing us as we cant stop thinking bad things. if anything- this film is like Solaris.

Im a little curious to know if the same problems exist with bluray and only way to tell is to ether rent this not that Im sure its on UK bluray? Then take it to store and compare the region 2 DVD because if the same dodgy green colour exists Im staying well clear from bluray.

3:42 noticed the blue colour around the white! Well youd never should see that in the cinema version as this is video version. Its common on most films that have white lights with blue coloured backgrounds.

I use "Sony Vegas 9" for my video editing and "Sony Sound forge Audio Studio 9" for my audio editing....They are simply Awesome programs and I highly recommend them both.

yeah, well i use Adobe Premiere, but still, I can't import the intire movie... how do i import it? i mean; i know how to import, but it wont when its so long. i think.

DVDFAB...to rip it from the disc then you can import the VOB filesinto the program or you can convert them. I use Magic video converter but any will work...It still only makes individual files but it makes it easier to work with...mpeg streamclip will render the entire file..this is a free program.

I definitely think it's a great trailer... It does give away A LOT of information about the plot. I always find that less is more, and really thought it stuck to that until she found the dead human on the ship. It all really depends on what type of trailer you are trying to make... if you are making one that summarizes a lot this is really great. But if you just want to tease at what happens, perhaps limit the amount of info you give the viewer...

yup! I agree..This was more for a theme challenge I was doing...It was a Thriller challenge..I just decided to make it like a trailer..but the human in the spacecraft was only a small part of the film and wasn't the main focus of what the film was about...I think I kept that part fairly secret....but I do agree with you...I probably did give away too much info for a trailer....thanks for the comment and the complement.
