He covers the bottle on the scene they collide. Why do the video editors have to cut to a different shot right after -- it would have sold the illusion more if they kept it as one shot.

So as for this, I'm leaning more towards paid actors and video editing.

But it's still good fun.

Actually as a magician myself I can tell you that that is not true. He is very hated amounst magic circles for using audiences that are all paid, and a lot of camera tricks. Ever since 2005 when he won Magician of the Year, people have not seen it as much of an award.

Ask any magician at your local magic store what they think of Criss Angel, and they'll tell you.

No, he genuinely DOES use ALOT of stooges and LOADS of tv editting. And yes we can prove it. For example, he used tv editting during:

Flying

Cut in Half (woman outside)

Death Saw

and many others, plus such things as "walk on water" cannot be viewed in real life, because the camera needs to be in a very specific spot, or the plexiglass reflects off the sunlight.

Ask any magician in the Magic Circle, and they'll tell you.

If it was a coin, I'd agree. And I see where he slips the phone away, but you can see the bottle from top to bottom just before the trick, and there's definitely no object as big as a phone (and it couldn't be some kind of "trick phone" that pops open, since the electronics work). Like I said, a coin could be on a magnet in there, but definitely no phone. Thats why he's so good...he changes the illusion just enough that even people who know magic are left with some questions.

So I dont know where the second phone comes from but the first phone is definitely in his sleeve. At 0:59 look at the motion he makes with his hand. he slips the phone into the sleeve. also after the trick at about 1:19 look at the way his sleeve hangs lower than it should be. the phone is weighing it down. it sways as if something is in it. Plus, think about it... i dont know when this trick was made but wat are the odds that a chick like her would have a standard "ring ring" ring tone?

I saw Ronn Winter in front of the Luxor earlier this year. He was doing some pretty awesome magic, and people were chanting for Criss to come out and challenge him. It was hilarious. "Ronn vs Criss...Ronn vs Criss...Ronn vs Criss". Of course, criss never came out. But id have to say...without camera trickery and paid actors, it would have been a close one!

(Part 1)The artist in the begining empties the bottle and lets the crowd scrutinize it till he gets to the girl in the back with the stripped shirt, just then he interposes himself between the camera and the observer. at that point he is handed a different bottle either by the girl or the man behind her who is obscured by the darkness. ( notice the artist's insecurity at that point he repeatedly says "looks good") See part 2

Part 2 when the girl hands him the cell phone he simply slips it into his sleeve at exactly 1:01 (notice at that point he urges the onlookers to look at the bottle thus distracting them from the phone) now there are two possibilities 1) the new bottle has a crevice at the bottom and the cell phone is pulled up by the dint of some type of device (notice on from 1:04 that he tucks the bottom of the bottle into his sleeve and then there is some clattering sound like when a thing collides with glass
