@GearShotgun True... I'm currently playing Rift which has so many similarties to Warhammer Online. Currently grinding up a cleric, the class is currently at level 41 outta 50.  Once I hit 50 then of course the grinding of the pvp rank begins to kick in which was somewhat similar to warhamer online. Although with Warhammer Online you started grinding the pvp rank the moment you started doing scenerios or world pvp :)

@ChinnyMUFC1993 I think what makes it appear to be slow is how every character had the same walking pattern. Also, I was using a free video capture program while recording this gameplay and result was not providing 100% in game framerate that I actually saw during the recording. That's why I've switched to using xfire. Now I can record video and sound when it comes to showing my mmorg adventures. Hopefully I can use it for that Star Wars: The Old Republic beta whenever that comes out. :)

ummm, Warhammer is built around RvR and PvP while WoW was built around social PvE.

@42mity true. I probably would have gone back to wow after playing Aion but since the majority of wow gamers of that mod, "Gearscore" that pretty much turns me off from even installing the WOW game. Seriously, do you really need to know exactly what gear the other players have? I didn't need it when running pugs in BWL or Kara so why have it now? But guess the wow game has changed so much that apparently you need that particular mod. Waiting on Star Wars: The Old Republic

@TheGreylo I left warhammer roughly a year ago already. The only endgame was to kill the enemy king which at the time was difficult to do if you were on the less popular side. I've stepped away from MMO's for the time being until StarWars: The Old Republic comes out. I played Aion for only 7 months..endgame was similar to Warhammer only thing was instead killing the king, your main focus was to control the 3 inner forts.

Um, do you mean the login-screen or the server itself? I don't play warhammer anymore but what I do know is warhammer only has about 5 or so servres left that are still running. Guess it depends on what server your character was on.

I know that the Badlands server is still operating. Poor game had so much potential but class imbalance and annoying endgame spelled doom for the game.

Seriously Aion looks like somekind of boring version of one of those free asian games. Also the only thing that looks good about Aion is that you can fly but except for that it kind of look like trash to me.

Aion is a grind....harder than what Wow was like back in the early days. Graphics are better than Wow and Warhammer. Gonna be hard to change up when I go to Star Wars: The Old Republic.

As I mention in other threads...Aion is just a time-filler till Star Wars: The Old Republic. I have no intention whatsoever to ever return to ether WOW or Warhammer. There is no reason to ever to go back to those two games.

WIth Warhammer there are two different types of levels, there's your regular rank that goes to 40 and then there's your Renown Rank that goes to 80. You can level your regular rank faster through PVE but your Renown Rank relies on PVPING.

I quit Warhammer back in July of 2009 cause the endgame can't be saved. Aion is the place to be now! :) Seriously though have fun in Warhammer.

Warhammer was cool in early days,,been so many changes to the game. They have introduced tokens similar to collecting badges in wow,,which I hated. For Pve stuff in warhammer it's not that important to do it. It's strictly a pvp game. The end game level is Rank 40 Renown Rank 80, The renown rank is the pvp level.

I'm only playing warhammer till Star Wars: The Old Republic somes out sometime next year.

They are supposed to release a content patch for warhammer in early june 2009

Not a problem...I should mention at the moment the end game for pvp is pretty borked. Only enjoyment I'm getting is just simple open pvp action in the scenerios or in the rvr lakes aka pvp areas.

I should be hitting Rank 40 Renown Rank 60 by the end of this weekenend...on my Dok of course. ;)

PVE is Player vs enivorment for WOW. Basically fighting bosses in karazhan without having to worry about enemy gamers. With warhammer..is 100% pvp! This video of mine is very old, during the late beta stages so the game has gone under alot of changes,

I left wow at level 70, let me tell you wow's pvp is far different than war's pvp. One question elcaboose, can the pvp in wow result in attacking either Ironforge or the undercity and get phat loot from each king? The answer is no.

War's main focus is pvp 24/7 locking down zones and killing gamers preventing enemy gamers from getting loot, where as Wow's main focus is waiting around to group up with 24 other raiders and try killing those end-game instance bosses..fun times....not.

The funny thing with war is that..the initial stages aka Tier 1 to tier 2..you would probably grind your rank faster pveing than pvping.

Sad thing, your renown rank cannot be higher than your regular rank till you hit rank 40. Once hit rank 40 then you can grind your renown rank up to 80. For me personally, I like more varity of melee attack moves than what I had in wow. As well as those awesome varity of aoe heals of warhammer. :)

I agree with you buddy, WAR's PvP is WAY better.

In WAR, you can get EXP by doing PvP and you can get some phat loot at pretty much any level. Also, the Scenarios are much larger in WAR.

One last thing, tanks have a place in WAR's PvP, while they are amazingly bad in WoW. (Speaking about PvP here)

BTW, I have two 80's in WoW, I know what i'm talking about :]

You can't really much change anything afterall...vanguard, age of conan, lord ot the rings all had very similar game engines to that of wow. The big difference I find with Warhammer is the additional morality spells... afterall when I run outta action points and can't cast any spells or if my blood essence is empty I know I will always have a morality spell that I can dish out. ;) At the moment the annoying class I encounter is the bright wizards of order...hopefully they get nerfed next patch

I think the viewer Packer is referring to the computer setup of warhammer....but's the easiest and simpliest form to play the game, for me anyhow. I've seen the similar game engine in vanguard, Lord of the Rings and Conan but it's life there's not really a whole lot you can change the game engine to make it user friendly.

I think the biggest problem they have right now is preventing server crashes when a group of warbands try to take a fortress, although I'm currently on vacation I haven't been in warhammer for the last 2 weeks,so I don't know if they have addressed that just yet but that is part of their main end game and if they can't fix that well....

yes it should. What happenend to me is I ordered the box, so that I could play in close beta, open beta and head start. They had to make more collector editions cause they never expected the demand to be there :). So currently waiting for my box to show up. What they should have done was allow those that order it to play through till at least the beginning of October..oh well. All I know is I'll have a tone of rested exp to burn up when I get back on. ;)

how's pvping with a sword and board in war? does it suck as much as with a prot warrior in wow?

lol, I was never a tank in wow, in fact for 3 1/2 years in wow I was a druid healer. Heck I wasn't pvping in wow as much as I am now in war. But the tanks that I have seen in war especially in the scenerios they can hold their own. They definitely mess up the opposing team's layout of range fighting when the tank has a healer in his back pocket. ;)

The Blue and red bar represent the amount of control both the order and the destruction have in that particular zone. If one has more than the other, then you get a increase precentage of exp from killing as well as cheaper to buy stuff from the vendors. ;)

I think it is 1-10 in one group 11-20 in another 21-30 in another one and finaly 31-40 in the final one, if someone say level 23 tries to go into the area for 1-10 they get turned into a chicken with 1hp and are unable to attack

why you want to be lvl 40 for chicken mode? just turn lvl 12 or 13 and go to tier 1. Not sure if they fixed that but with sorcs offensive proc you could do 80 dmg in beta as a chicken.

Actually looking back on it, I think one of the order dudes was a npc...there's a quest that I picked up to kill 5 enemy players and the 1/5 notice didn't show up till the second kill.

Hopefully I can answer you question, any healer class can fly to their fellow comrades rvsr, as long as they are within rank. But that is just my opinion. Haven't ranked high enough to see that "chicken effect" when you go back down to the lower tiers for some rvsr action. ;)

That's a tough question, I played the squig herder in the closed beta for about 3 levels until I got booted from that particular server and couldn't get back in. That class looks pretty good too. :)
