  • Was this filmed in a closet?

  • great job... Love the info

  • the advices are good but were the "um" after each sentences neccessary?

  • It's give new cyclists and the returning cyclists a good reference knowledage to start cycling's training with. I would say it's a good guide line to follow. Cheers.

    Rgd, Stephen Tsai.

  • How do you bike on a high way like that without getting the heavy fine? Up here in Alberta this is strictly illegal cycle on a open highway without the $500 fine. Besides it's suicide. A large truck moving at 120km (80mph) is not going to change lanes just to get around a cyclist even if he wants to avoid him. His inertia will probably cause him to loose control or force him to use his jake brake which is really quite loud and scary. I love to bike but this is just reckless.

  • Trying to lose weight through cycling any advice or tips @ colin the bronc .com thanks for any help

  • If people cant survive a long ride then dont bike, unless your really old you should have no problem going more then 50 or 60 miles, i used to bike over 40 miles daily when i was 15 with a piece of crap bike, road bikes are comfortable as hell specially all those gears you have

  • @samstterhamstteer yeh when you were 15 Chav

  • Base miles; long rides. This man is one of the best on expervillage without a doubt. My first long and continuous ride was 30 miles and took me under 1.45 hours. I ended up adjusting my stem, seat and cleaning up my bottom bracket. My 10km wind-"sprints" average went from 25-27 - 30-35km/h after just one long ride and a few days of rest.

  • i hate adds

  • That road looks painful.

  • Love your videos- thanks for your expertise!!

  • I ride my power x red mountain bike for 1 hour a day in my neighborhood. Does anyone really know if a workout like that could lower my high blood pressure and cholesterol?

  • yes if you do this every day, but diet is important. Less fatty food will help, as 60 mins a day is going to burn existing lard

  • @PlanetXObserver

nooo, its definately the wrong bike to lower your high blood pressure. you need a roadbike....mountainbike is totally wrong for this.

  • um?

  • UMMMMM

  • this guy has a very loud/distracting "UMM"

  • how much should i cycle how long and what type of bike to lose weight?

  • Doesn't really matter what sort of bike (apart from an electric one) but a cheap heart rate monitor is a good idea to check that you are in the right training zone, as for how much; as far as I remember weight loss does not matter how frequent, toning & fitness do though.

  • 2 hours each day, 40 kms is good.

  • At the risk over oversimplifying all of this I would say 45min per day 5-6 times a day is sufficient for most people to loose weight.Any type of bike is good so long as its a safe bike and one of good quality.

  • thanxx for the info cat4forlife!

  • Soy el 15625 miron jejeje

  • i;m the 15555 viewer yeeh

  • thats because all of america looks like arizona desert.. obvs

  • Touché :D!

  • i was being sarcastic..

  • yeah but we have good teeth guess AMERICA RULES

  • And Guns

  • Unless your on the west coast ^_^

  • yeah base miles are important; as you progress you can start doing your basemiles in miles and how fast you can do it.

For example today i went 60 miles in the mountains in just over 3 hrs with a empty stomach. Tommorow ill try to go 80 miles in under 4hrs on a full stomach; Its a much more competitive approach

  • Great stuff! Thanks Expert Village and Sal Collura ... where was this filmed?

  • You had your ass filmed? And I just thought your comment stunk. ;^P
