@metallicamustaine You can fly it from the front seat, but if you are flying solo you have to sit in the back so the weight is distributed correctly. I guess you just get used to flying it from the rear seat afterwards with passengers, and the passenger has ha good view too.
Just got the A2A Piper Cub with AccuSim for FSX. Very impressive modeling -- handling feels a lot more realistic than any other FS aircraft I've flown. A night-and-day difference over the default FS Cub.
i have it too, but why is it that wen i try to turn left or right, the plane turns real slowly...no matter how much i trun the stick left/right, the plane just slumbers.
Check your control mappings and sensitivities. (Also, even though the Cub doesn't have autopilot, you could have it turned on from another aircraft, and this could be causing problems.) The Cub should be nice and responsive -- but not hypersensitive like the Extra 300.
I used to get into civilian sims but got bored since you can't shoot anything down or bomb anything. Wreaking havoc is the true nature of airplanes after all.
i am very impressed at A2A....the step up from wings of power...which were good airplanes.....is amazing...the ability to make such a realistic airplane, and the efforts you go to to do that is insane....keep up the good work
gotta love those short base approaches, what a fun aircraft.. kinda like flying a paper airplane :P i'm an audio engineer so it's cool to see you recording the aircraft sounds!
Thanks guys! I'm going to have another fight with my wife to explain why I'm going to buy yet another plane from A2A....LOL. Hey, great stuff! Keep it up!
That kid is a smart kid. He is asking questions, but not only that, he's asking the right questions clearly. He's going to be a hell of a pilot.

there is a question that captain jakey asks and that is the same question i have,
why do you fly a cub from the back seat ?

I take flight lessons in one of these. For $58 and hour in this classic... I love it. It handles amazing.

I have quite a few hours in that plane. I started flying in it.
the most beautiful flying airplane i've ever seen. Closest to REAL flying i'd ever done, besides being in a glider.

That child had a valid question! Why do you actually fly in the back seat?
FesteringCorpse 2 years ago
brings the center of gravity to the right spot on the main wing.
hotty198 2 years ago 7
yea i agree... why do u
Jazza159 2 years ago
For center of gravity, if you sit in forward past the wing plus the engine weight, that's gonna be a heavy forward weight

Cubs don't have lights or flaps, the ones you thought are flaps are ailerons to make the cup roll right or left

Would love to see some classic high performance sport planes like the Pitts Special, the Chipmunk, the Stearman... those would be the real deal.

Is it just the video or do the props look curved at times when at speed?

I do agree that this is a very good choice for A2A Simulations to do and a very broad appealing aircraft.
Simple yet fun.
