  • What a mad album it would have been, defs would have been 1 of his best so far, but as usual WB fuks around there artist. If WB had just approved this album, then Seals career wouldn't have gone to shit. Seal puts together a great album, WB throws it away, then when seal comes back to WB with another album that was shit, they approved it. WB shouldn't be apart of music, they tend to do this to alot of artist.

  • @sybolical Sad part is Seal actually let those numb nuts convince him into thinking the album isn't great. He's said it himself, that he feels the album is crap! There is no way in hell I think anything that I work on is crap and I'm not afraid to showcase it either!

Mind you this is coming from the same man who recorded 'Kiss From A Rose' and actually thought that song was no good as well! He had to be convinced to put that song on his 2nd album....can you beleive that?????

  • @CWDevine I did! Lol...I guess I'll just keep on keeping on. I'll keep you posted if I find anything out.. You must love him as much as me! Great music.

  • Just A) Step Away sounds AMAZING!!!!!! I WANT THIS MUSIC :(

...I've listened to this about 100 times now.. no lie.

Well, I hope he releases it one of these years..

  • @zackeriah87 Tell Seal on his twitter page, how much you like and want this album! ;)

  • Sigh. After all these years I decided to have a listen. And it sounds pretty darn good. In fact, quite possibly better than the album that ended up replacing it.

  • @orfeocookie Tell Seal that since he doesn't feel this album is any good!!! He's always saying that shit when he's asked about it, pisses me off!!!!

  • Who dit not allow Seal to get this album released, it sound good

  • @Fckstyre The execs at Warner Bros in 2002/2003 pretty much put the nail in the coffin.

  • This sounds better to me than his last 3 albums (although I love them). I would do anything to have this full album.

  • maybe we will all get lucky, and in time, SEAL will let us have this. time changes everything.

  • @markmatteo Nah, I recently asked him about it on twitter. He still says its garbage, even though you all have heard it for yourselves.

  • here's the thing that really burns. Seal thought the album was not good. I accept that. But, the decision to release small samples of it was cruel. If that album was never meant to be released, then not even snippets should have been released. It's like waving candy at a child and getting angry at it for begging and crying for the candy. It's ridiculous. I am so haunted and upset when I hear these snippets and I wonder what his motive was. I would do anything to have this album in full.

  • However, one thing that is upsetting is....for the longest time on his website...Seal said "if i can find it"....he'll put it up for stream. Not if was actually "lost"....but he strung us along for a long time in hopes that he would "find it"

I actually want Step Away and Breathe......

  • @NathanIVV So true. He truly pissed me off when he "claimed" that he couldn't find it. I took the liberty of finding Chris Fogel, Henry Jackman's (the album's enginner & co-producer) contact info and sent it to Seal's manager. He thanked me for the effort, but pretty much said they weren't going to bother with it.

  • @CWDevine Well, you definitely did a lot more than I did. I'm surprised the manager replied to you.

I'm a huge Prince fan and even back in the day, you could get the Black Album if you looked hard enough. I would think that Togetherland would have been leaked somehow.

  • @NathanIVV The guy who has it will NOT let it leak. The CD is watermarked, so if he did it might trace back to him. The album is great, Seal's just ashamed that WB turned it down.

  • @NathanIVV Are you kidding me, that sax is awesome!!!!! It could me by suprise, the first time I heard it because I dont ever remembering hearing any horn instruments in any of Seal's music before. The songs on 'Togetherland' kill the songs on 'System' and some of the songs on 'Seal IV'.

  • I agree with everyone who feel that this would be an awesome album. I knew of one guy (who ran SealFans) that had all the tracks.

I have to admit...even the 30 second clippings of these tracks are a better than some of the stuff he's done since then.

There was a website up that had Breathe (non togetherland version), This Could Be Heaven, Elsie & All That I Can Say. However, it's not up anymore. I was able to record those songs and now I can somewhat say I have a few togetherland songs.

  • @NathanIVV You're talking about Henry Jackman's site? If so, yeah that expired some years back. What version of Breathe are you referring to, the versio PiLL did with Seal prior to Togetherland?

  • @CWDevine I guess it is the version with pILL. I saw the movie the Price of Air and the version of Breathe in that movie is different than the togetherland cut and the pILL cut.

It's sad that we won't get to experience it. Sounds very promising. All That I Wanted To Say is awesome (except for that sax piece)

(You mean to tell me that Breathe or Step Away isn't better than 'Dumb' or 'Wedding Day' from the last release????)

  • I wish these would get leaked or released now! I think these songs sound epic.

  • I love Seals music. Just think its wack he doesnt listen to the fans. He owes it to us especially if we want the album. I dont get it.

  • come on Seal!! Release the album!! Why would you create an ENTIRE album, submit it to WB execs and THEN think its not good enough?!? Im a musical artist and Im sorry but thats total BS.. Just admit WB screwed you over, not you or anyone you worked with on the project.

Put it out for charity or digitally Seal!! We diehard fans have spent a lot of money on your music/dvds and wouldn't mind spending more to own this beautiful piece of music.. at least from what Im hearing.

  • My best guess would be to convince WB to release it now.

I don't know how that's going to happen but, Seal is convinced the album is "crap".

He does use twitter, so maybe some twits might get him thinking about it?

  • @massakre01

Well, Seal didn't think it was not good enough, the execs thought it wasn't good enough. Those bastards made him shelf the album, I love Seal's music and wish that he would release it.

  • @CyberSpectrumND i guarantee when seal was making this album song after song he wasnt sitting there thinking "hmm i half-assed this ENTIRE album, hope they accept it" no he put his heart into it like he did all of his music back then. there was no heidi klum, there was no TMZ in his face or record execs in his ear, etc. he was still the Seal we all loved in the 90's but nooooo... look id feel the same way if i submitted my heart and soul to execs and they "ehhhh, you can do better"..

  • @massakre01

Well that's basically what I said. Maybe you've read it wrong. But I agree with you

  • @massakre01 im still here checking in!! growing older but still hoping for the day that this album sees the light

  • I'm loving the sound of this! I've become obsessed with Seal recently whether its his slow stuff or his dancey stuff. Why on earth in their right mind would his record company shelve this? how pathetic - this is amazing stuff, I LOVE IT! :)

  • After hearing these sample clips...STILL makes no sense as to why this album was shelved!!! If indeed it was Seal's decision to do so, then he really must be quite the perfectionist (either that or he honestly did miss Trevor Horn's presence in the studio this time around). At the very least, this shows that Seal's truly among an elite group of artists whose music transends and connects people of all ages and backgrounds. Hopefully, this album does end up seeing the light of day...

  • It was actually Warner Bros fault. Back in 2002 WB had a change in management. The new excutives felt the album didn't have a strong marketing appeal, so they were against releasing it.

Seal keeps claming that it wasn't released because he felt it wasn't good enough and that's bullshyt!!!

  • That's what I pretty much figured as well. Seal probably said all that to save face with the new management at the time (as if he ever needed to give the current incompetence of the latter in recent years). Man, seems like WMG is screwing up no matter which way you turn-lol. They need to just leave Seal alone to do the music he wants. He's already firmly established on that label due to the work he did back in the '90s. He won't be losing his fan base anytime soon.

    ;-)

  • everyday i hope and pray to find news that this album will be released in some way, shape or form. how could seal not like this album?? AMAZING music.

  • the funny thing is, that i honestly think this could have been one of Seal's best albums...i think he truly felt a lot of pressure after the flop that Human Beings was, even though i thought it was a good album....

PLEASE SEAL!!! RELEASE TOGETHERLAND!!! these songs sound like they rock, true Seal trademark songs

  • These are old 30 sec clips from the defunct "SealFans" site. I wish I did have the album!!1 :{

  • yeah me too.. those songs doesnt sound so badly how seal said on his homepage.. but thank you very much for uploading this :)

  • where did you get those clips? do you have the togetherland album on mp3?
