Yup, and controllers had nearly endless amounts of pets. Fire Imps...so...many....fire imps. Hordes of them from one player. It honestly was a lot more fun when you could be so chaotic, but it's still fun now with the limitations.
@Ladykiller245 Brutes are Scrappers that deal more damage the longer their in combat they have just a smidge more health than Scrappers, their defenses were similar to Scrappers unbuffed, Brutes can receive higher levels of defense from buffs compared to Scrappers with buffs
When CoH first came out, AoE powers did not have a target cap. This allowed Invulnerability tankers to become invincible if more than 30 enemies are within melee range. Players used to powerlevel by having one tanker herd an entire zone of enemies, then a single blaster would kill them all with one AoE nuke.
This video shows a tanker killing his own herd for the lulz.
Man, CoH back then was great and when the first Winter Lord came...you could level up to 40 in about 5 hours or less! For that week, people had like 3 to 4 50's. I sooooo miss the old CoH, before all the nerfing and slow issues. The dev's now are crap and i can't wait for CO and DCO, it should give them some good, needed, competition.
Definitely good old days, but holy shit that's a lot of Council Wolves XD

can brute herd like this and kill his own herd without dying?
Ladykiller245 2 years ago
Not to this extent. This ease of tanking ended before CoV was added. They can still herd lots, but nothing insane like this without help.

The best line from a new player about a tanker was "He ran in there I cant believe he just ran in there"
