So does the high flow cats make a difference in sound or performance you think? I have magnaflow true duals with 3.5/12 tips not sure the muffler size and was wanting to get high low cats but thought they we're a little pricey but do you think they are worth it ?
To be honest undoubted it did at all. I had larger tires installed soon after and i never really paid attention to mileage. I just always know it was around 16-17 before tires, 13-14 after.
For everything that was on it in this video it was like $500.00. $80 for muffler, $80 for the cats, $40 for the tips and around $300 for labor but I'm sure I could have went somewhere else and paid less for labor.
@sancho721 It's not a simple cat back setup though. There are separate pipes coming off each bank that go into a DI/DO muffler whereas a normal "Cat back" system usually uses a Y-Pipe from the separate banks that goes into a SI/DO muffler.
@BOXERGUY1989 oh i see well that makes sense then, but still $300 it seems a lil excesive thou. mine was like you said just a "Y" pipe coming from the cat converter, using the already stock pipe.... check out the video i just uploaded and u can hear it, it came out nice.
@BOXERGUY1989 I know exactly what you mean, the day i got mine in the mail the moment i went to get it installed. when you get your CAI you will see a big diference in the throttle response, its so much quicker, its worth every penny, i got mine for about $300 and installed it myself, it was really easy.
no larger piping and muffler would make it sound louder. You want the proper backpressure for your engine though to get a healthy sound and maximum power.
you really need to get a drive by of it floored.None of your videos do you have it floored.Does it sound bad wide open or something?Only asking because I am trying to decide between your setuo or flowmaster super 44.One more thing, did you lose any lowend torque?
No it actually sounds better floored but I don't really have anywhere to do it. I am getting some cutouts soon so I will put up a comparison video....might just make one of it floored for tomorrow.
I forgot to add that I absolutely love the sound of your truck and want to run the same setup on mine now.You didn't say if you lost any lowend torque with it?

@sancho721 I could have gotten it cheaper but honestly I was in a hurry and wanted it done right then haha I'm sure you know what I mean.
I listened to yours and it sounds great, I love the sound of Magnaflows. Nice CAI also, that's what I'm looking into getting next.
