Its not about him not trying. Roy Jones is a shot fighter. He got old overnight. It happens to most fighters. His stamina was declining over the years that is why he used to take rounds off by laying on the ropes. Once he fought Tarver for the third time his reflexes and stamina had diminished. Even legends age. He was a great champ but like 99 percent of boxers all of them fight way too long.
