My first ever was a NG 1/144 Shining Gundam after watching Wing, then G here in the states. My cousin was always bent on getting the best hero suits but I loved my Shining Gundam. After a while I gave up on gundam and then years later I began rewatching G Gundam and found the face plate of my old 1/144 Shining. I had to relive the feeling. I went on to ebay and found the MG Shining Gundam and took so much care to make it perfect. It was my first MG and a trip down memory lane,the rest is history

My first Kit was one of the newer sorta Gunpla Starter Set. Got the one with the Zaku 2 and the RX-78-2. And honestly. I enjoyed it alot. Sure due to my bad motor skills some parts where annoying... Like that darn tubing. And on other kits it has been ohter things. But really. I dont regret getting started. I've gotten one MG so far... But it pissed me off to much due to its rather crapy manipulators. Damn EW Wing Gundam. Still... I'll probebly get EW Heavy Arms.

I hate the HG Gundam SEED lines, but I love the HGUC line. Speaking of which, my first model was the HG Serpent Custom and the first one from the 1980s was the 1/100 Rick Dias.
First Gunpla I ever got was when I was about 7 or 8. NG 1/144 Shining Gundam. I built it up tearing out the parts. Real loose, and prickly because of the gate parts left on the part. Real excited because the following month Cartoon Network aired G Gundam.

My first gundam, as a child, was the HG 1/144 wing gundam zero. Lost the head, the peg has snapped off of one arm and the wings are lost/pegs have snapped off. I dont really remember it much but it werent in that condition when i had it as a kid haha
My first kit which im actually starting my collection with was the 1/100 NG Exia Avalanche AND the 1/100 NG Dynames. I dont plan on sticking with 00 kits though, planning on getting the RG RX-78-2 and the wing MG's. Cant wait for my first MG

Have them already but have no cutter for them. i think my 5th will be HGUC Unicorn in Unicorn mode (4th is HG00 virtue). after discovering Gundam.tk , i decided i will only buy MS that have appeared in anime or OVAs.

ya he is right when he says that the hg aile strike haveing alot missing it was my first kit but that did not turn me of gundam model and now affter my cat got to it she took my beam rifle tip and i was pissd and i was poseing it and the arm broke so then i fixed it with glue and it broke agen and now its sitting its box till i get more glue but i am geting the luncher strike so ill have the luncher pack and the aile
Well my first gundam was the American release Epyon 1/144, but it broke, god Wing Zero 1/100, it broke, got 1/144 Shining and Burning together, they broke... stopped till bout back in March and then the returner to me was 1/144 00 Raiser designer color... and as of now i'm about 20+ gundams into my collection though not all of them are built ^^'
I have just started my gundam model kits. and i have a question, I bought crossbone gundam full cloth, strike freedom gundam, aile strike gundam ,unicorn gundam, and perfect gundam. they are all master grade but i was wondering if these kits are a good start? I have finished them all and now I am moving on to a perfect grade ail strike.....am ready???

My friend let me borrow Gundam Wing, and on Saturday, I got into a Model kit fever and ransacked my Mom's shed where my First 1/100 HG kit of the Wing Zero. I Believe my first kit was a 1/144 HG Altron Nataku. Thanks for your reviews. My next model is going to be that MG Freedom. Back on track, 08th MS Team is one of my all time faves (hence the screen name!). Thanks again.
My very first kit I think was a model from Victory Gundam. But it was years ago and I lost it. But I started collecting models after getting myself an HG 1/144 God Gundam.
Quan[T] looks quite good with the Dragoon System but its going to be in the Gundam 00 Movie and not really in tv series. Gundam 00 Movie is out in September in Japan
When i watched the first season of Gundam 00 I loved the Gundams.
I ordered Dynames ,Kyrios and Exia
First i build Dynames, then Kyrios and finally Exia. I love them. I did not get Virtue because i think that for a build , he looks chubby... In the anime he`s OK .
I plan on buying the Unicorn Gundam around summer , after the OVA`s in March come out
My first model was a 1/60 scale Apache helicopter. I was 10 at the time. imagine a cute little kid working with a 2 foot model. My first Gundam model was the X10A Freedom 1/100 HG at about 2004 and I had to improvise. As in like scissors and nail clippers improvise. Once I had built the freedom which I had gotten from Toys r us after I spotted it while watching gundam seed, I started wanting more to complement the Freedom.

The only ones that i'll get for sure are Kyrios, Arios, Dynames, Cherudim, etc except for Exia and 00 Raiser (at least one of them has a MG and 00 will have one) and the Gundam Wing kits.

Here's a question for you. I've seen that you've built the 1/144 0 Gundam Operation Type, Do you know if the special Green Particle effect wings that come with the roll-out colorless version of the 0 Gundam can fit on the Operation Type?
SD Strike Gundam. my friend who is asian told me about it, i had figures but whenever i hung out with him we played with our SDs, he had/s SD Justice, SD Force Impulse, and SD destiny
My first ever kit was FG Dynames. Honestly i liked it but after I found out about all the gunpla grades I moved on to HG's and NG's 1/100 (a lot). Then to MG. PG is just to expensive in where I'm living.
To be fair I had built World War-era airplanes, and various sports cars that required work(glue/paint) to look any good. So the PG was a welcome easy project.
Plus the uncle who got me it said it was either 14,200 Yen PG, or the smaller 9,200 Yen MG(might've been the Sazabi from how he described it's colours.)
i actually dont know the name of my first model i built it when i was 5 it broke far beyond repair then i shot it square in the face with air soft the head exploded it had an s on the shield it was pretty cool

My first kit was an old 1/144 Shining Gundam that was a prize from an Toonami giveaway. But that was years ago before I really got into the hobby, so I really don't count that. About a few years ago I actually bought the HG 1/144 Ez-8, because unlike you, I love that design. And the whole thing pretty much spiraled out of control from there.
you never know. maybe they'll also include another surprise gimmick or improvements like actually having a working transforming v-fin that opens and closes completely instead of leaving that nasty gap...
i still have this kit and the only problem is that my cat knocked it of the table so the left arm got broken i glued it but i cant use it for any more stop motions sadly but i have 26 more in great shape and ive not been modeling for a year yet

my first gundam was a 1/44 non grade sandrock which i thought was hideous after completing (10 years ago!) but when i saw the mg exia i (that 2old4toys reviewed) i had to build it. i just finished my third gundam lastnight. pg 00 raiser. painted, decaled, panel lined and top coated. i think it came out very nice. thanks for all the reviews robert. you really should build your pg 00. it took me over a month to complete but it was worth it.

I don't remember exactly the first model kit I bought but I do remember owning the entire 1/144 wing line up. My first master grade was the Nu Gundam, which sadly got destroyed. The first real kit that made me really get into model building was probably my Wing Zero MG, I still have it and its one incredibly awesome kit, though its surpassed but Hi-Nu Gundam IMO.
My first Gunpla was the SD Strike Freedom. Afterwords, I've built near-exclusively 1/144 High Grades, with the exception of two Master Grades and one old 1/100 HG. My ultimate goal is the PG 00 Raiser, but i'll get to that when I get to that (by then there may be a PG 00 Qan[T], which will cause me to reprioritize).

Quan[T] looks quite good with the Dragoon System but its going to be in the Gundam 00 Movie and not really in tv series. Gundam 00 Movie is out in September in Japan

When i watched the first season of Gundam 00 I loved the Gundams.
I ordered Dynames ,Kyrios and Exia
First i build Dynames, then Kyrios and finally Exia. I love them. I did not get Virtue because i think that for a build , he looks chubby... In the anime he`s OK .
I plan on buying the Unicorn Gundam around summer , after the OVA`s in March come out

My first model was a 1/60 scale Apache helicopter. I was 10 at the time. imagine a cute little kid working with a 2 foot model. My first Gundam model was the X10A Freedom 1/100 HG at about 2004 and I had to improvise. As in like scissors and nail clippers improvise. Once I had built the freedom which I had gotten from Toys r us after I spotted it while watching gundam seed, I started wanting more to complement the Freedom.

i agree with you rrobbert, i don't like HG's either,
The only ones that i'll get for sure are Kyrios, Arios, Dynames, Cherudim, etc except for Exia and 00 Raiser (at least one of them has a MG and 00 will have one) and the Gundam Wing kits.

Very very First model was 1/100 HG Gundam Epyon and Wing Gundam (not Zero) (some time between 2000 2002)
But after those 2 i quit xD
now the other First kit was 1/100 HG Wing Gundam Zero (Tv Series) (Oct - Nov. 2009)
and i'm not going to quit this time!!

Here's a question for you. I've seen that you've built the 1/144 0 Gundam Operation Type, Do you know if the special Green Particle effect wings that come with the roll-out colorless version of the 0 Gundam can fit on the Operation Type?

watching yours and prime92's review along with the convincing powers of Konata from Lucky Star made me go out one day and just buy a gundam model...
First one was the HG 1/100 DX+G-Falcon last 2007...
Maid dropped DX and it's been in "to be repaired" status ever since.
First MG was Strike Freedom Full Burst... ^^
I'm a sucker for winged gundams... XD

My first ever kit was FG Dynames. Honestly i liked it but after I found out about all the gunpla grades I moved on to HG's and NG's 1/100 (a lot). Then to MG. PG is just to expensive in where I'm living.

First kit I had was the PG RX-178 [Titans] back in '03 around 14-13.
Being my first GunPla it left me with a bad impression that the PGs were the only worthwhile kits(maybe a few MG grunts every so often though.)
Took a chance with the recent HG Kshatriya, and was impressed that i might get one of the HG Unicorns if I see it at my usual shop.

To be fair I had built World War-era airplanes, and various sports cars that required work(glue/paint) to look any good. So the PG was a welcome easy project.
Plus the uncle who got me it said it was either 14,200 Yen PG, or the smaller 9,200 Yen MG(might've been the Sazabi from how he described it's colours.)

i actually dont know the name of my first model i built it when i was 5 it broke far beyond repair then i shot it square in the face with air soft the head exploded it had an s on the shield it was pretty cool

My first kit was an old 1/144 Shining Gundam that was a prize from an Toonami giveaway. But that was years ago before I really got into the hobby, so I really don't count that. About a few years ago I actually bought the HG 1/144 Ez-8, because unlike you, I love that design. And the whole thing pretty much spiraled out of control from there.

i still have this kit and the only problem is that my cat knocked it of the table so the left arm got broken i glued it but i cant use it for any more stop motions sadly but i have 26 more in great shape and ive not been modeling for a year yet

My first gundam was the Sword Strike, because I had heard that gundam kits could be challenging and, hey, this one had a big ass sword, what could go wrong? that was last June, now I have 7 gundams 5 of which are MG kits. I regret nothing since every kit I've made has left me hugely satisfied and wanting more. Hope you have a good time with the EZ-8, rrobbert.

First model I ever got was from my local store in the mid 90's and I just recently found out it was the 1/144 X Divider. I just picked it up because it was cheap and caught my eye and I never actually saw the anime at the time.

my first gundam was a 1/44 non grade sandrock which i thought was hideous after completing (10 years ago!) but when i saw the mg exia i (that 2old4toys reviewed) i had to build it. i just finished my third gundam lastnight. pg 00 raiser. painted, decaled, panel lined and top coated. i think it came out very nice. thanks for all the reviews robert. you really should build your pg 00. it took me over a month to complete but it was worth it.

I don't remember exactly the first model kit I bought but I do remember owning the entire 1/144 wing line up. My first master grade was the Nu Gundam, which sadly got destroyed. The first real kit that made me really get into model building was probably my Wing Zero MG, I still have it and its one incredibly awesome kit, though its surpassed but Hi-Nu Gundam IMO.

My first Gunpla was the SD Strike Freedom. Afterwords, I've built near-exclusively 1/144 High Grades, with the exception of two Master Grades and one old 1/100 HG. My ultimate goal is the PG 00 Raiser, but i'll get to that when I get to that (by then there may be a PG 00 Qan[T], which will cause me to reprioritize).

My first ever Gundam kit was an SD Zeong. I had no idea what Gundam was at the time, but the little Zeong was five dollars and I thought it looked cool.
My first non-SD Gundam kit was the High Grade 1/144 Cherudim Gundam, and...it didn't turn out too well. But I got better from there and the kits just keep stacking up!
