Both of these gentlemen had good spirit and as older kung-fu brothers helped me reach my first black belt level and deserve respect. Mr. Salinas was an excellent all-round fighter with quick striking and fighting skills not demonstrated here, and both improved over the years even as I trained with them, as many of us have since this SC video from the early 80s. And, though I am not positive, Salinas might have been left-handed which might be why his salute is different.

The big guy Johnny Salinas has been dead for over twenty five years and he as well as the Iran Murdad were both very junior students at that time doing a documentary for someones college project in journalism.

At the front end of this is Chang Tung Sheng who was visiting at the time. It was done for the documentary which is a much longer piece. By the way as a wrestler Johnny Salinas had very good drive and a dedicated spirit. Your ignorance allowed me to pay tribute to one that died way to young.
