@canucklehead70 Its the young universe and our cosmic horizon. At this time the universe was a uniform hot fog. The yellow-blue represent minuscule density variations in the fog and are the gravitational "seed patches" for the first stars and galaxies.
Luckily for us the expansion of the universe has redshifted the CMB by a factor of a thousand because at this time we would have been vaporized instantly.
