I am a Christian and i don't hate homosexuals, and i get very offended when people say that we hate them! It drives me bonkers!! I don't hate homosexuals, in fact the opposite is true, i Love them! They are people, my brother, my sister, mother, father, son, daughter, boss, principal, officer, and etc. Truthfully, my sister is gay, and i love her the most, out of all my siblings! Sorry to say it, but I just wanted to say that, because i dislike strongly when people say Christians hate gay people!
i'm a christian too! christians don't really hate homosexuals i mean not all but there are few.. i'm a homosexual :)) it doesn't really mean that if you're a homosexual you are not a person nemore cause it's like how some straight people sees us.. :))
Have you seen "Sugar Rush" a British drama that aired on Channel 4. It had a strong lesbian theme and was on for a couple of seasons. It is available via torrent and on-line if you can find a British proxy.
She will try to keep the spirit of Otalia alive by starting a Web series in November called "Venice." While it won't have Olivia and Natalia -- those characters are the property of Procter & Gamble -- the show will feature Ms. Chappell as a single, gay career woman, and follow other fictional inhabitants of Venice Beach, in Los Angeles. Her leading lady on "Guiding Light," Ms. Leccia, has agreed to join the cast without pay.
Nancy, you have to tell the truth. Us lesbians are trying to make ALL women gay. Yes, we want too women to be gay. If we get near a woman, we will make a pass on them...or seduce them, because we have Satan in us. HAHA
Christians want to control what people see and hear. I am not at all surprised that they would not want to see lesbians portrayed as good citizens.
Many uneducated people like myself never get to realize that there IS a separation between church and state. Our flawed world view sees this nation as a Theocracy. Because we just don't know any better
My wife watched GL for over 20 years...30 years? We watched together at different times, but missed it for the last 6 or so Too bad it's going off. Interesting story line. She was telling me about it the other night.
For the most part I think soaps are costing to much money to produce. I think unless there is a resurgence they will become obsolete in the next 10 years.
That, and who watches them in "realtime" these days and hence actually sees the commercials? Of course, with a TiVo, that pretty much holds for all shows. Wasn't the GL one of the first shows to have an inter-racial couple, as well?
great points throughout, but the last part made me smile.
i'm sorry your show is ending! your girl used to be carly on a show i watched for a year or so.. and on that one, she was buried alive... then came back. these shows are so crazy...
I'm sorry for your loss. lol. I guess the closest I can relate is atheism and growing up with very few 'role models' that I knew were atheist, or played one on t.v. One exception was Mike on All in the Family....I loved that show as much for Mike's atheism as for all the humor.
Where's Robin and Lacie???

I don't know anyone IRL who is a lesbian in the sense of me knowing they're a lesbian, but to all lesbians of the world:
Hats off. Hats off to lesbians.
I'm afraid that's the best I can do at this juncture.

lol about the ending. The funniest moments are usually the ones not planned. Crystal is going back to that character in October.

i know - i think you're the funniest when you're not trying to be funny... i guess that's true of most people.
