  • If I was there I would ask him to say welcome... to jurassic park

  • It still gives me goose bumps...

  • He looks a bit like John Hammond :-)

  • @MILKYPISTOL Or is it the other way around? :-)

  • @ABigred11 True. You got a point there :-)

  • This guy is has the BEST scores EVER! Playing this song in my orchestral

  • Love you Uncle John. You truly are amazing...

  • Is it me, or did john williams purposely make himself look like hammond for this?

  • A bit too fast, but still cool.

  • @LacobrigusRomanicus when the original composer conducts the song, you know you are hearing it the way it was meant to be heard.

  • John Williams is THE MOST IMPORTANT MOVIE SCORE COMPOSER IN THE HISTORY OF MOVIES. Everyone on planet earth remembers a movie from the music that is JOHN WILLIAMS... I can take an entire day to name the Steven Spielberg or George Lucas classics that he has created... Google him and your jaw will slam to the floor when you find out the movie soundtracks that he has created.

  • @TheLintRollers No, he's right. It is indeed the same score (in terms of the notes themselves), and the same composer. But the tempo is a tad faster then the score used in the film during the "Welcome to Jurassic Park" section of this performance. However the second song is right on the same tempo as that used in the film.

  • The god himself...

  • stop fuckin adjusting your piece of shit camera it's loud as fuck

  • His son Joseph Sang for the Band Toto lol

  • @TheLintRollers The one played on the Jurassic Park film! Is slower.

  • A little bit faster than the original, but still good.

  • John Williams is thinking "Wow, I'm such a badass" while waving his stick

  • @matthewmaki John Williams IS a badass he doesn't need to think he is.

  • Everything seems better after listening to this, and Jurassic Park will go down as one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • A conductor must be a good conductor of electricity. :D joke

  • So you have a twin sister who

    Obi-Wan has failed to hide

    If you will not join,

    Then perhaps she will

    Give in to your hate

    You are mine!

    Haha, get it? ...Anyone? :(

  • 77 raptors didn't like the video

  • I love this musical genius.

  • When the composer is conducting, you know you're hearing the piece exactly as it's meant to be heard.

  • @miahk2 Not with this shoddy video quality

  • @miahk2 not necessarily, Stravinsky was also a conductor and did not do too well conducting his own pieces.

The ability to tell an orchestra how something needs to be played is far different than from writing a piece...

  • muy buen video muy buen director y qu ebuena cancion!!!

  • This music put my nostalgic ass in a good mood.

  • hahaha he looks like John Hammond

  • @jaws5263 LMAO best. comment. ever. He really does look like John Hammond!!! This made my day haha...

  • well .. accually YES HE CAN play it at whatever tempo he wants to ...

but there's still no doubt in my mind that it sound crap .. played so fast..

like someone ...well ... PLAYED IT TOO FAST ?? ...

You don't have the time to apprecieate it

  • @Dizzy1234567 I too was surprised at the tempo of the theme, especially the first part of it. Watching John conducting, at times his arms don't seem to be in sync with the video.

Sure he can do anything he wants, its HIS music, but I prefer what I hear on the CD, as far as speed.

    Long live John Williams!

  • Too fast, theyr playng too fast for me. It has to be pretty slow,

  • Sam Neill: .....it's a dinosaur!

  • Tip #117 to beat the heat:

Listen to its epicness. 85+ degrees (F) outside and it gave me chills

  • This makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!!!

  • OMG @0:01 he looks like KFC dude

  • personal opinion. john williams should stick with composing. he looked like he was fighting the orchestra the whole time.

  • @dpstaffo He is one of the best american conductor. He has led many of the greatest orchestras in the world, and has played with greatest soloists.

  • When the trumpets come in at 3:26 i can just see the helicopter flying towards the island

  • this theme is so 90s....you can hear how many composers he inspired. and yes, it is a little faster than in the movie

  • Dr. Grant, my dear Dr. Sattler.... WELCOME TO JURRASIC PARK..

  • when was this performance?

  • @Radioactive1080z from what I can tell, its 2006

  • This is my favorite theme ever. Williams is a genius.

  • I dont like the tempo :S

  • sounds like a dino is snorting in the beginning...

  • 3:20 is an awesome transition. Gives me goose bumps. Simply epic.

  • @RGN07

If you like that transition, check out my John Williams video, you'd love it at the end.

  • @xXSparky117Xx Unfortunatey the video content was blocked in my country. No luck for me.

  • Hey look at 3:35 Harrison Ford is the 2nd trumpeter in from the right! :P

  • 74 people got there leg bitten off by a dinosaur

  • goosebumps on every bar....

  • Best part = 3:19

  • @PimaveraPictures lol thanks

  • This video was posted on my birthday..

  • @InsertDecentNameHere Happy birthday!

  • Whatever you say John Williams is the best.

  • lololol "bhetoven" and "hans zimmerman"

    john williams is a god.

  • JOHN WILLIAMS IS THE BEST COMPOSER BETTER THAN MOZART OR BHETOVEN PERIOD.

  • @AngelRocks321 you spelled "bhetoven" wrong. terribly wrong

  • @AngelRocks321 He's up there along Hans zimmerman

  • @AngelRocks321 errrmmmm.... no! John Williams is fantastic, one of the best composers of our era, without a doubt., but Mozart and "Bhetoven" are a different league. Besides the two of them there're a lot more, take my favorites, Gustav Holst and Richard Wagner, absolutely fantastic music!

  • @blueheart26 Forgot Hans Zimmer, but John Williams is my all time favorite.

  • I don't care if he's black, he's still badass. Racism is not cool.

  • last of the mohicans was trevor rabin

  • JHON WILLIAMS IS THE MAN!!!!

  • i wish he was my band teacher..

  • How Come there are 71 dislike's this music/Theme is the best!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know the trombone part for this?? please tell me if you do!

  • when he dies good movie music dies with him

  • Half of the good movie music died with Jerry Goldsmith, the other half goes with John :/

  • @Niitroshark nooo - the pirates guys are pretty good. And JW only did 3 of the Harry Potters - the rest were good too. Very recognizable

  • @Niitroshark nooo - the pirates guys are pretty good. And JW only did 3 of the Harry Potters - the rest were good too. Very recognizable. And I thought Last of the Mohicans had a great theme.

Anyway JW is still alive & well - let's not kill him off just yet.

  • I will be very very VERY VERY sad when he dies.......But! Imma go watch Jurassic Park now.

  • the world of this style came to a near end when he stopped doing Concerts.

  • i cry with this song!!

  • @hotbetinho mee too buddy mee too............

  • He did it better at a lower tempo I think, but that's my preference- he did a good job.

  • I loved the medley of Jurassic's theme. Seeing the great John Williams in action with his talented orchestra! Never do get tired of it!

The sound of those french horns (starting @ 4:27), makes it sound so soothing and epic at the same time!

  • Check my uploaded videos for the unreleased tracks

  • @Stefandurr Indeed!

  • @japangotsushi No. . . ?

  • @japangotsushi HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • way too fast

  • @GiantCODZombie Dude, he wrote it, he can put it at whatever tempo he wants.

  • @MarchingTheBeat agreed.

  • @MarchingTheBeat

That's not exactly correct. That's like saying an author can go back and change what's been written in his books, after the books have already been published. The work is DONE, set in stone - not even the creator should alter it from that state, even if slightly.

  • @Yonkage Thats a pretty closed minded, uncreative POV.

  • @joeyisfunny

See, this is why we have infinite retcons, contradictory prequels, oddball alternate-universes, and confusing Word-of-God in storylines today. I'm all for being open minded, but please, don't encourage the creative version of rearranging a dead horse.

  • @Yonkage Wrong! music is not words in a book . Music is fluid, motion and emotion. It can change to accommodate the emotion. Especially the man who composed it. Look at so many other musicians in rock bands, country, folk, pop, all other genres. Almost every performance of their hit songs are different in many ways to the recorded version. Down the road music can have a different heart beat than it once did before. Especially the composer. Try not to be selfish and short sited with music.

  • @Yonkage An author can do that, its his work, nothing is set in stone. His creation, he has final say in it.

  • @GiantCODZombie Really? 1. Music is up to interpretation. 2. He wrote it!

  • @GiantCODZombie He made it. And he can (fuck it up, what u think) but its just good played.

  • Everyone's talking about the tempo. Maybe this was the last song before intermission, and John had to pee!

  • You should of brought a toy dinosaur and out it in front of the camera coming out slowly :D

  • i luv this song

  • Derr, yeah, the composer played it too fast. That's like saying the writer told the story wrong. It's his music. There is no "wrong."

  • him and master yoda need their own designation

  • when you here john williams music you are instantly back as a child while that music is playing sort of like being hypnotised into feeling good and like a child

  • eli öpülesi adam... hızlı mı yönetmiş ne?

  • @esparcia7 Listen 2 the original film score and then c wat u think, wow dumbshit

you kidding if you don't put him in the best 3...

  • @alonsegal1992 hes not good as the 3 listed in my comment.
