I don't know if diet "extends your life", but it's clear to me that donuts and sodas shorten it.

sure it did, the higher the cholesterol the greater the risk of heart attack. did the studies you quote show causation or merely correlation or a mechanism for low cholesterol causing heart attacks?
Many studies have found that low cholesterol is in certain respects worse than high cholesterol. For instance, in 19 large studies of more than 68,000 deaths, reviewed by Professor David R. Jacobs and his co-workers from the Division of Epidemiology at the University of Minnesota, low cholesterol predicted an increased risk of dying from gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases
Consider the finding of Dr. Harlan Krumholz of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University, who reported in 1994 that old people with low cholesterol died twice as often from a heart attack as did old people with a high cholesterol.
Journal of the American Medical Association 272, 1335-1340, 1990.
uh, if you got NO calories you would die many years before you reached 100! I think the scientists know more about nutrition than Jack Lalanne, however I'm sure he practices at least a mild form of calorie restriction
fortunately not as stupid as you. Jack lalanne worlds most knowledgeable nutritionist. What are his degrees and where is his world famous lab, you moron.
Name me ONE other nutritionist that can still do what Jack Lalanne does at his age. Hell, name me one nutritionist that doesn't listen to Jack Lalanne nor wasn't inspired by him.
His body tells him what vitamins and nutrients are best? In any specific language or code? Which of Jack's scientific papers do nutritinionist refer to when they have a question? I looked on his website. they mention NO degrees, no published papers, no education other than he read Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body . Yes he is the premier nutritionist in the world! compared to you maybe.
Him outliving most PH.Ds does in fact make him smarter.
"His body tells him what vitamins and nutrients are best?"
Damn you are dumb. So you wouldn't take anything he says seriously just because he doesn't have degrees?? He's 95 years old and can swim up and down the west coast. If you don't want to take any advice from a guy like that just because he doesn't have degrees...then wow you're dumb.

IDK if it was stupid since you said you would take the advice of anyone with degrees in nutrition no matter what over someone who is proven to be the most fittest old person ever recorded just because they don't have a degree.
So you ARE saying you would take advice from someone who is bedridden that has degrees in nutrition over someone who is perfectly fit....that makes total sense...
He could also be a meat eater and bedridden because of his diet. and yes there are meateaters that have been bedridden because of their diet. your hero jack eats very little meat or meat products, only eggs and some fish from what I can tell. Being a vegan doesn't mean you eat the right things, no vegan eating correctly has ever been bedridden from his diet. show me links.
In answer to your cholesterol question, cholesterol is necessary, too much is bad for you. your hero jack doesn't think cholesterol is good for you, he doesn't eat whole eggs. I don't watch tv. and there's nothing wrong with liking Green Lantern, if you're 12 years old!

exactly a predictor. it is a marker because wbc are crucial for immune system.
bigusdikus0 2 years ago
they check white blood cell count as a predictor of disease because the body produces it during stress or illness. thats correlation not causation

you really think white blood cells cause disease? maybe i should go over there and clear this up.

lower wbc does NOT decrease mortality. just the opposite. it is a marker because the immune system produces wbc as a defense.
bigusdikus0 2 years ago
but what do a bunch of scientists know? I only pay attention to what Jack Lalanne says, I'll have to email him and ask his opinion

Fact:
Nothing has been conclusively "proven" yet. Maybe

the horse when it comes to purported "life extension" therapies. Most everybody in this video has an agenda
here and a book to promote.
