  • I don't know if diet "extends your life", but it's clear to me that donuts and sodas shorten it.

    I went through a lifestyle change and lost 90 lbs with diet and exercise over several years. I'm amazed at how many people don't pay attention to their own health, but want the best "health care" when they get a complication.

    I went to the pool and saw a grandma in better shape than her 25 year old buddy. It was sad, but it sure proves a point.

You are only saying vegans live longer, which is false since there hasn't been a single vegan that lived passed 95. I'm saying people live longer due to genetics as well as fitness and nutrition.

  • Apparently CRers rarely get infections, they have more energy (as reported), and usually I either a) don't get the virus or b) Only have mild symptoms that last 12 - 24 hours before going away.. Whereas otehr family members were ill for 2 weeks with flu. Theres just one example, but many other people report this also.

    No joke, CR is the only proven way to extend lifespan and has 75 years of science backing it up.

    I've been interested in CR since I heard Ray Kurzweil interviewed. His mantra of "live long enough to live forever" really stuck with me.

    Over the last 2 years I gained 44 pounds. This spring I started eating less and exercising. I lost 40 pounds in 5 months and am now at 170. During this time I ate about 1400 cals/day. I now know that I can handle CR-levels of food, I just need to learn to optimize my nutrition!
