The governent wont tax it past street prices because like you all said you would still get it from your dealer which would defeat the purpose of taxs. Companies would begin growing it making the quality standardized plus eliminating droughts.

if they made weed legal to buy or possess or grow for personal purposes. the only thing i think they should do if you have a bigger grow than what you can /would smoke is make you buy a business license you can make your wine, grow your own tobacco so if weed is legal why couldn't you grow in a secure area? it may be decriminalized in Canada but there are a lot of rules etc with getting licenses to grow it or hold any quantities for personal use. there are also dispensaries....

Weed is already legal in the states if you get a script, its not about legalizing it it needs to be decriminalized and taxed. The government wouldnt put addicting chemicals in it the companies that would sell it would be the ones putting stuff in it. So not only do you get better and cheaper weed from legalizing weed, the government also makes a fuk ton of money. With that extra money they could help out university students who have recently had their fees increased to £30000.
