good info. i usually google info on taking care of betta fish. google helps a lot. lol anyway, i actually bought my halfmoon betta fish from petsmart. he's a beautiful color. i guess it depends on which petsmart you go to. i guess it's basically the luck of the draw. my betta fish is orange, and pastel purple. i have a couple of vids if you wanna check it out. he actually responds to his name. and sometimes dances as well. it's cute...

I need help. So I bought my fish on Saturday I bought him I put him in the tank and the water felt room temperature not to him he was swimming so fast then he flipped over and he was in shock then my sister saved him now he keeps on twitching and it's worrying me. Is it normal that they twitch? Because I try to keep the water as warm as I can but my dad has had fish before so he says I'm doing the right thing then my sister yells at me for keeping the water warm. Help.

If u keep feeding it bloodworms it is not healthy for the fish the shrimp and bloodworms should only be fed as snacks or treats and u should feed the bettas pellets or flakes for vitamins

@310BRIANO that could probably be why. i went to petsmart.com. and read reviews about the shark decoration, and there were a few reviews that some fish were scared of the shark fish decoration. the decoration that i bought from petsmart.com was the small balinese lantern. my betta loves it, and is always swimming in and out of it. i have a couple of vids with him playing inside his little cave. it cost about 5.99. 6 something with tax. i have a couple of vids, if you would like to check it out..

Ok well I just put mine in and he wuz ok and healthy and he ate. But I didn't know how to pick a nonviolent one so I picked one with a big mouth and he now fights with every fish I put him with even in a big tank. He tears off their tails and it's kinda gross, so I leave him alone in his own tank. NOTE: if you want a violent betta at least find 1 with a big mouth :D lol

Your video's first info is wrong. Betta's aren't roaches of the 'sea' they're freshwater fish found in rice paddies and they're delicate. You gotta be so careful with them.

my female looks just like that but shes crowntail, same tank,then I got a blue n black dubtail in same kinda tank and then pink veiltail in petco 6.6gal that holds 8gallons lol with 3 platies and 2 corycats 2adf, 1 appel snail and I dont wana hear the 1ich per gal, my tank is 2feetlong and Iooks empty, had it cycled for a year and no problems, every 1s happy, there all small and have room to go back n forth, the platies stay up hi n the cories n frogs stay down low, got caves driftwood n plants

i think that rock might be a sand stone, no problem now but the longer its submersed it runs the risk of disolving and dirtying your tank. I think it affect the ph levels as well.

well, if u guys want good bettas. ask where the bettas are from... mostly, if they r from thailand, they are always very beautiful and more aggressive. they are also known as plakat. if u guys live near a pet shop that sells bettas you guys would know. i live by a pet shop called Kaz's Tropical fish shop. he probably specialize in bettas. gets shipping like 1-2 time a month. he would have marbles, halfmoons, giants, boxers, 3-5star male(fighting bettas), super delta, double tail, and in cichlids

@RandomLover118 Yes they could like for example, In Thailand there is not a lot of rain in some seasons so over the years bettas made an organ where they breath the air. So bettas need more air than water. And when drout seasons come in Thailand the pond all dry up and the fish that still survive is the betta fish, (means they live in small pockets of water)
