These are many reasons why we should not like government controlled healthcare. Every other industrialized country has government controlled healthcare and all of them pay less than we pay the insurance industry and most of them live longer. The insurance industry makes the decisions about your health care now, and cares about profit.

Are you saying that Americans are unable to do what people from all other industrialized country can do? Why do you think Americans can't do a good job?

All they have to do is go look at it, if it's still up.. I forget now, too many lies to keep up with, but investigate for yourselves if you don't believe this video. @renagade12 - I have been trying to keep up with the wording in this constantly fluxing health care legislation - as always much of this is sort of true and sort of not - you can distort the truth easily by how you choose to interpret the legalese in these clauses. it's the same kind of propagandizing that created the mythology about "death panels" which most who want to believe this will continue to do so in spite of it being untrue.

They even predict due to taxes, companies will change your current insurance to a lower premium, lower medical service option. Oh and one last thing. Nobody hired me to do any of this. As an economics student at a high-ranked school, I took a healthcare economics class where we looked extensively at the proposal. I don't agree with it 100% but it's pretty good. Healthcare in the U.S. is not as great in a lot of areas as some people make it up to be (compared to some countries with universal healthcare that is). If you want more info on that, let me know.

I used to sell life and health insurance which is how I know this. That's not how much the government will pay, but how much you could have to pay out of your own pocket (and these amounts are pretty typical for insurance maximum out of pocket payments).
