@BonJovi4LifeTime On A7X in Rock Band... I have nothing against A7X and I like their music but what pisses me off is the HMX keeps releasing songs by them with no keys when they have perfectly good songs with keys, or just flat out don't chart the parts in some songs for whatever reason. I would love to play I Won't See You Tonight Part 1 on keys, I would even buy Afterlife again for the keys, but I refuse to buy a A7X song without keys because everyone picks those songs online.

@capngeeoff I wasn't expecting keys. But yeah, I'm happy when they include metal with keys, just on the general principle even if I'm not huge on the band. There's tons of metal with keys too.

@Tremuto thats easy: SOAD has been separated for a few years, but they returned to do some tours around the world and now harmonix can have permission by the entire band to upload the songs. for me, it needs quite more songs here (forest, question, tentative etc...)

@BirriaBoy64 Well yeah I get that but before they brought in BYOB and Toxicity nearly a year and a half ago, even more? And RB1 came out a year later after SOAD got into their hiatus.

@BonJovi4LifeTime I didn't mean to say there is no good music. What I mean is that everyone has their idea of good music. And most everyone's tastes are different. So what's good to you is shit to me, and what's good to me is shit to you. It's a matter of taste.

Also, SOAD has 2 other DLC: Toxicity and B.Y.O.B., as well as Chop Suey in-game. There are many other bands that have only one or no songs in. Muse has 1, Incubus has 1, Interpol has 1.

@BonJovi4LifeTime oh God no. As much as music taste is subjective, so no one is really right when it comes to what's "good" and what isn't, I have to say Harmonix really dropped the ball with DLC. Some of the biggest bands that people really want to see in Rock Band (Muse, Incubus, Daft Punk) still have gotten no real love, and instead the bring out more Avenged Sevenfold and System of a Down DLC, which they already have some of. Just saying, they could have done WAAAAYYYY better than those guys

@Zanny77 Its not like they can just say, "hey I love muse lets put em in the game" there are legal channels that they have to go through via lawyers and a bunch of other ass pain stankin work to be able to get the rights.

@nuggz503 I'm perfectly aware of that. I don't think Muse has an specific legal reasoning behind not being in Rock Band, or any exclusive deal with Activision. Now that Activision dropped GH, they could prolly get into Rock Band now anyway, it's just a matter of Harmonix coming up to them and being like "Get in our game." It's just the matter that instead of going for Muse, which is THE most requested band on RockBandForums, they go for A7X and SOAD, which already have DLC, and both suck imo.

@Zanny77 Probably nothing to do with HMX. They have to pursue licensing deals for every band they want to include, sometimes several times for each band (why some Pre-RB3 songs can't be played in RB3), sometimes for each individual song. The big-name bands that haven't shown up as DLC yet have been at the top of HMX's want-list since Rock Band debuted, they just haven't been able to iron out a deal with the publisher. So you get more songs from bands they've already snagged.
