I think they're making the right decision adding on to it because I went there and the line for the forbidden journey was so long people were weaving through the village and wondering where to get in line. I don't want the Jaws ride to close but I understand why they did because it's the popular attractions that will bring more people and more money and right now the harry potter park is surely the most popular.

Very fitting the final shark confrontation didnt work properly. Not only does it reflect the history of this ride, but the film as well with their shark never working. I was lucky enough to ride this ride a few times and I will remember every time I go to USF. If I go back at all.

They are turning this park into the theme park equivalent of the frigging $5 DVD discount bin at WalMart. What executive asshats are responsible for removing rides based upon classic movies that keep people coming back over and over again and replacing them with rides that are a notch above the tilt-a-whirl at your county fair? This park used to have King Kong, BTTF, Alfred Hitchcock... I know you have to keep it somewhat fresh, but here today, forgotten tomorrow movies cheapen the entire park.

But it's at the cost of losing yet another ride based on a classic film. I don't think the Harry Potter films will ever live up to the classic status of Jaws or even BTTF, but they're at least better than The Mummy and Shrek.

Perhaps I am too young to really be able to appreciate the old rides at Universal, but I remember going to Universal when I was a little girl and I remember how terrified I was to go on this, but I would always go on it anyway. Now I am turning 19 in a few weeks and I would have loved to ride this ride one last time. I miss the old rides... Back to the Future... Jaws... Universal, why take away the rides we all know and love and replace it with rides that are pointless? RIP Jaw. <3

This literally brought tears to my eyes. I saw JAWS for the first time with my grandpa when I was 3 years old. I fell in love with it and it has been my favorite movie ever since. He passed away on November 16, 2011 and with them closing the ride so shortly after, it's very sad for me. It's beautiful to see the crowd participation and energy... this ride was truly a legend and will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved it. RIP JAWS.

Such a sad ending to one of my favorite rides andsame with my dad's I remember when I was 5 and doing it being that scared and then years on too until 2006 and then I enjoyed it better it is very dissapoiting universal getting rid of a masterpeice or what was probably a landmark to universal. Heck my dad even told me closing down JAWS is like closing down the whole park, nothing is gonna be good replacing JAWS. I am very dissapointed Universal got rid of a great ride. R.I.P. The Harry Potter stuff is taking over the Jaws area. It is confirmed Universal is doing this.

Perhaps I'm being nostalgic on this, but what if Harry Potter dies out in popularity in a few years? What then? Personally I didn't enjoy the movies nor the books and I understand I'm the minority, but professional I see this as a bad move for Universal.
