  • I'm always amazed !!!

  • I never noticed there were other people on stage with her! This tiny little granny was sitting in front of us and she was SO smitten with k.d. I never saw anyone enjoy something so much, God Bless that little old lady! k.d. opened her Ingenue concerts with this song. I swear she was the only one on that stage. HA! Her "post nuclear cabaret" music. Loved it!

  • @caesarmtnmama Ha !! you never noticed there were other people on stage :O) and how lovely about the little old granny - sweet !!

Funny how all eyes are drawn to k.d.

  • @TheLangChannel As much as I try to remember, k.d. was alone, hehehe! One prominant occurrence which I shall never forget- after the show, we went out back to watch the roadies load the trailer. We weren't there but a half hour when I saw k.d. inside the building, heading for the double doors. I said to my friend, "THERE SHE IS!" k.d. must have heard me because she immediately turned around and ran away! MY BIG MOUTH! She has changed since '92. MAKE IT UP TO ME kd. YORK, PA. on 9/30 !!

  • this is such a beautiful, ishe has such grace...

  • @4mesunflowers it is very beautiful performance and she has a real natural grace

  • Honestly, when I first got this album and hit the PLAY button - it was the first song at the top of the list, and I remembered how bored I was listening to it, but it was the way she executed the song that made me stop and really listen, and how her voice was just so mesmerizing...Love this album and still listen to it even now.

  • @rayva1 Its one of those records that improves with each play and really rewards the listener - I go back and listen every now and then as well.

  • @rayva1 The more I listen "Ingenue", the more I conclude that there's not a weak cut on it.

  • @TyteFystedFolkie I'm in agreement , its one of those rare albums you can happily play right through without skipping a track or two.

  • During her 'Ingenue" tour at the State Theater in Easton, Pa., when k.d. opened her performance with "Save Me'', all I could do was mutter "Oh, my God." Everyone always remembers their very first time...

  • Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of my moms and how I introduced her to Kd Lang's voice whom neither of us had ever heard. It was taking a chance because I had heard her voice but didnt know to whom I was listening. The cd Ingenue, first song Save Me immediately became a Favorite of the entire cd inwhich I would play back to back. Now mama's gone now(08) and all I have is the sound of Kd's voice..singing softly Save Me Save Me Save Me..oh the memories.RIP mom.

  • @blkshepherd Wonderful that you and your mom loved the same music - you must have many treasured memories.

  • @TheLangChannel I have a Treasure chest filled with memories..and a trunk filled with mama's last items the day she died..that being hair brush..gowns, slippers, face cloth..its painful to think of it. I hope to See her again in another life. this song is just the Best..cant help but tear up when i Hear it...thanks so much for posting

  • @blkshepherd Thank you sweetheart

    Sue xx

  • save me...kd is one of the most influential ladies qua outfit for the scene...

thanx susie for bringing back my happy years...

  • (: I GO NUMB..

  • this is one of my all time favorite song of hers. thanks for posting it. janina :o)

  • well worth listening to again ...love those lyrics great credit to k.d

  • it's also one of my so much loved songs, for the lyrics that says it all and in such incredibly beautiful way,for the true emotions and feelings her interpretation evokes in the listener. it was also one of her best shows recorded ever on TV. The best band kd ever had who added a lot to her triumphs of that time, BEN MINK, fantastic composer who made it possible, of Polish origins btw. Season of Hollow Soul, Wash Me Clean, So It Shall Be, Outside Myself are perhaps my favs of all time.

  • @krysant50 - Ingenue was a wonderful album , so many fine tracks maybe one day she'll get back to writing with Ben Mink. Having said that I really like her music now , her excellent band that I think have given her a renewed passion for performing. Can't wait for her new record.
